Looks correct but the pro classes ive seen have 3round holes in the brake bridge.
This has 2slots either side of the brake hole.
Ive also seen a pro class with just a single hole in the bridge.
Oh and matt keep ya nose out!

measure the down tube. on pro classes the down tube should be 1.1/4" and the top tube should be 1.18" :daumenhoch:

Wheeldons winding me up about the brake bridge...and im half falling for it :D

Lol..It will be on the block section..
Matt thinks mongoose made two different size pro classes, an expert & pro.
Anyway all this piss taking..he’s the only guy i know who’d spray an expensive JMC
with a rattle can! :2funny:
-
nope they made a 20" and a 26" and the spray job is second to none, not like your goose expert ;D
-
Don't you mean 20" and 24"
-
Ho Ho..my pro class arrived today, good seller wrote on childs bike part (as I asked) no customs charge
Reading the serial# makes it an 82 model, obviously a earlier rarer model than matts
Matt sure yours aint a supergoose? ;)

......... well i know retrogeezer (simon ) has a mongoose that is identical to my pro class in every way ie brake bridge, location of the serial no, tube thickness and weight ( we know we checked them against one another),, also mongoose did sticker up the pro class frame as superooses as they sold more of ... so we think anyway ,, so u may have a pro class frame :daumenhoch:

i know that mongoose in the states built supergooses to the same tube sizes as the pro class - as thats my one scary shows a few posts back with gold pro class topped stem
not sure where serial no is located on that one though, will have to check.
i looked right in to it at the time hoping i had a Pro Class but a action bike article proved they built them with chunky tubes, the only difference is in the weight.
my chunky tube supergoose F&F weighs around 2lbs more. i would go more on the weight issue than any other, as the pro class had special thin wall tubing requiring their top welders
by all accounts hence the top quality and super lightness
once my home Pc is back on line i have a few scans of mag test i can share, must decorate faster ..... ;)
-
I know what you mean about the weight of the Pro Class Kev, the Pro Class weighs nothing in comparison to other Mongoose bikes. I honestly cannot believe how little it weighs.
-
I've got whats stickered up a supergoose with the frame No stamped into the box section behind the b/b.The frame No is H3001907.Can anyone tell me anything about it?
Dave.
-
sounds like an 83 h-man!
-
Yo,ruler, what is it about the frame No that dictates this?Do you you think it is really a supergoose??
-
post a pic
