T1 Rule, Joe Rich Rules, this page they have put together is brilliant. :daumenhoch:

OK, Maybe Im over hypin, but I love stuff like this :)
-
Heard on a props vid interview with joe rich that frames were being made at Spooky. I know what you mean its nice to hear the reasoning behind the design, its definately an evolution of the hoffman taj.
Missed out on what would appear to be a Kastan built one on ebay a while back too, gutted. They are surprisingly cheap to pick up, paid 30 quid for a barcode frame last year. Running T1 ruben bars on it, not really fashionable now but i wont be parted with them.
There is also a Garrett Byrnes model with integrated seatpost and additional support on the chainstays for grinding, due to Garrett not running pegs.

I enjoyed reading that :daumenhoch:
-
Great read that, Joe is awesome - now where's that fooking RAD soul bowl footage....
-
great read that :daumenhoch: love reading the history with stuff like this. when i was out in austin in november there were loads of these down at 9th street. T1 is big around there.
-
brilliant! f anyone is after one, Cyclesport have a NOS black ne form the 2004/5 series - in black, very very nice!
-
Always wanted a Taj or a 21tt Barcode. Have got a T1 frame in the loft that might come down for a play, got it from Harry Halls about 6 years ago in Manchester.
Stockport sk8park looked like 9th street a few years ago, nearly every rider rode a T1 and wore khaki pants and Little Devil shirts.
Quality read, looking forward to seeing some new product, Solid bikes are a quality manufacturer.

I dont know much about the frames but Joe Rich's riding is incredible.
-
Thanks for posting Alex, missed that one :daumenhoch:
My '03 Barcode has become my favourite bike I've ever owned, even against all the nostalgic feelings for the old stuff the Barcode is just a great design - and even better since Mikie off this forum tigged the AD mounts onto the seat stays, can't see me buying any other frame as this one rides perfectly.

:) Are they still going now? A few years ago you couldn`t move for T1 frames...
-
T1 are still going, just been a bit quite for a while I think. Barcode is one of the frames I've always wanted but never had, they rock :daumenhoch:

I'm riding a t1 ruben - 21" version mostly these days. Dead nice, feels a little like an S&M holmes as you have to pull hard on the front end to lift it up. My only problem with T1s is the brake position - should do em up top so you can set a small gear setup. Me mate Tim gave me a T1 frame the other week that his mrs was sick of seeing - hehe - was thinking of making a trampoline bike out of it - its in 20.5(if anyone was to swap a 21 version for it? let me know)
-
titanium barcode built for taj by maas specialties,
turned out to be just too flexible,
gorgeous though :smitten: :smitten:

ive heard theres one under a ramp gathering dust lol
not to far from me
ironic,
considering i've spent 6 years searching for one :LolLolLolLol:
i'm still promising myself it'll be my last ever build,
i nearly bought that white ruben in the rad shop,
just because its lovely,
tbh,
for me,
standard and s&m were the big guns,
but TERRIBLE 1 were way way cooler than either,
i was gutted to hear that the company is now owned by a taiwanese investor,
more so when taj left for giant :idiot2:
if anyone knows of a spooky built one for sale i'd still have it though :LolLolLolLol:
