Yep!! An exact copy so they could practice before the olympics!!

Same track!! Worlds 2007 was at Beijing
Thats why everyone thought Shaneze was a cert!!

Ah I see. That's the Supercross world champion. Not the normal world championships that were held somewhere else in China in 2008, the proper worlds in 2007 were in Canada.
-
Ahh, I see what ya getting at!!
I haven't a clue!!
I just remember the commentary saying that Shaneze won a World Championship at the same track 362 days ago!!
-
UCI World Champs 2008 was held in China same year as Beijing Games. Different venues and tracks though.
Think they may have had a UCI Supercross round in China before. Can't remember if that was on the same track as the Olympics, but definitely a different track to the World Champs (as Supercross rounds just raced by Elite and Junior, no little Johnnies or stiff old cruiser riders ;) so the tracks are gnarly. World Champs covers all the usual age groups so tracks are tamer).

Shaneze is the Elite Women Supercross World Cup Champion - This was the "Good Luck, Beijing" race held on 22 August 2007 on the Olympic track in Beijing, China exactly 362 days before BMX Olympic competition started in Beijing!!
