Yep!! An exact copy so they could practice before the olympics!!

I think the worlds and olympics were held in different places.

I meant different places in China :crazy2: I don't think the track used for the worlds was the same one for the olympics.

Same track!! Worlds 2007 was at Beijing

Thats why everyone thought Shaneze was a cert!!

Post by: dialledbikes on June 24, 2009, 12:03 PM: UCI World Champs 2008 was held in China same year as Beijing Games. Different venues and tracks though.

Think they may have had a UCI Supercross round in China before. Can't remember if that was on the same track as the Olympics, but definitely a different track to the World Champs (as Supercross rounds just raced by Elite and Junior, no little Johnnies or stiff old cruiser riders ;) so the tracks are gnarly. World Champs covers all the usual age groups so tracks are tamer).
