As you turn off of the main road and loop back on yourself to get to the MK track, you have to go under the road you have just left.
Under said road, the sun never shines.
all year round there is a big muddy puddle. (more like a pond)
I may give the fella a swimming lesson >:D
-
It would be like the scene out of Airplane where they are all queing up....
bagsy the hare krishna outfit.
-
Bagsy the old guy with the revolver.

-
lmao ive heard he wants a stall at mk
best line up lads :P
well he's not on the list. lol. let's hope it stays that way.
he was at MK sniffing around last year, I've met him twice, actually think he's a decent chap.
his prices are high on some of the rarer stuff, but i think it's madness to spend £150 on a set of MX1000 or DX pedals but there's quite a few folks on RAD who'd think nothing of it. supply and demand, if you don't like his prices you won't buy will you?
-
I think I met him to ::) eh Joe :2funny:
-
I may give the fella a swimming lesson >:D
But aren't you supposed to hold his head above water? :LolLolLolLol:

Oh yes the trailer!! :LolLolLolLol:
-
did anyone actually put their hands up over that?
-
nah man, the mx bloke done it cos he hates bmx.
if he didn't do it, how come he just happened to turn up and the crack of dawn and say "there's my trailer i'm calling the Rozzers"
not like they had a meeting on or anything to turn up to, he just happened to come along....mmmmm..
he tried to set up poor old John to get the bmxers in trouble.
-
Dont know who it was but I seen the dude walking the trailer
in to the camping area some time after mid night, it wasnt the
fella who was with the cops on the sunday morning
-
Getting back to Biagio.......you dont have to pay his prices. He aint hurting you guys (as you wouldnt buy off him) so let him be.
If someone wants to buy from him then they will as they will need a part that he has.
Supply and demand unfortunately.
His inflated prices set the benchmark and I didnt hear anyone moaning when they were selling their stuff at 400% profit off the back of his prices!
-
he has, on more than one item! sold me something that could not work!
I have contacted him, received an email back from him or, his Wife?, (weeks later) saying that he/she will fix the problem.
And that's it!
he owes me money, and I intend to get it!

Thats fine but I am talking about his prices not his service.
He messed me about once with something and I too thought what a cnut. :2gunsfiring_v1:
He shot himself in the foot as I learnt my lesson and didnt buy again.
We all got stories about him BUT at the end of the day you pay your money and you take your choice with him. He will have stuff that the average collector needs so he wacks up the prices. Thats business im afraid. Most people slag him off and they havent even met him! Makes me laugh. Maybe his reputation goes before him.
-
he's done me a deal on stuff many a time so sorry lads he gets a :daumenhoch: from me,you can talk to him is is human after all ;)

There was a scheduled MX Practice meet on the Sunday for some upcoming event. There were a few camped out and a few came on the sunday morning.
I wandered over early on saturday afternoon to see what they were up to!!
There was a tape line across half of the camping field (not H/C section) and some officious knob wanted all the BMXers on the right side of the tape as the other side was for MXers only!! They even had their own toilets!!
I think someone moved his trailer from the far end for a laff and matey saw ass (which is fair enuff)!! :-\
-
see the keyboard tools are out in force again ::) Do you really think he gives a toss what you think...
-
he's done me a deal on stuff many a time so sorry lads he gets a :daumenhoch: from me,you can talk to him is is human after all ;)
I've bought from the Badger and traded stuff with him, with no problems :daumenhoch: His stuff aint cheap but neither is Alans and their customer service is non-existent in my humble opinion...
-
his prices are a bit steep - the couple of parts i got off him arrived without any dramas :-X
-
In fairness, I bought a single brake lever off him, and specc;ed the wrong one.
offered to replace it just for the postage cost. Seems fair enough to me. It was my mistake after all....
Only done that deal, but I cant dis the chap for that at all.....
-
I've not had any problems with him...yes it can be pricey...but if you really want it...
Ray.
-
see the keyboard tools are out in force again ::) Do you really think he gives a toss what you think...
i don't really give a toss if he gives a toss that you give a toss about what anyone thinks or gives a toss over
but if it's a toss up between biaggio and some other tosspot else a lot of people will sooner toss themselves off and eat the jizz rather
that deal with him, but that's up to them, doesn't make them tools or tossers. or keyboard tools. or warrior tossers. or tossboardwarritoolers.
it's like any trader some will have bad stories, some good, he's been sound on the two occassions i met him and did me a good
deal on some stuff once too.
but i'd be defensive if some one dissed my pet badger too.
-
God not again, another thread about vert-ego.. FFS change the record!!

Moley ,
It's me that puts the tape across the field on the RH side ??? . It's put there to try and keep the BMXer's roughly in one place because after all we don't officially ask the MXer's if it's ok to start parking/camping further down towards areas that they use regularly . In 06 or 07 it got to the stage where peeps ( BMXer's ) were parking all over the place and it's me the MXer's came to to complain , mainly because I'm the connection between RAD and MK BMX Club . The RAD Old School event at MK was my idea back in Jan/Feb 06 , I wanted a kinda UK Rockford where we could meet on a big scale to show bikes and race too , MK track being ideal for the latter because it's not too much of a bike breaker .
I was involved with MK BMX Club in the 80's and was involved in designing the track in 84 , I have to try and keep things hunky dory on all sides because if something goes pear shaped at that event then it could firstly mean no more MK06/MK07/MK08/MK09 etc but it can and has caused the MK BMX Club sh1t in the past from the MK Parks Trust who own the land and they could stop things permanently on that site for everyone .
It is now possibly the case ( not 100% ) that the MXer's are no longer there which tbh is far more relaxing ;) ...........................

TBH, if you haven't met him, you shouldn't make any comments about who he is. I think he's overpriced, but then again, i think a lot of peeps on here take the piss.

What a crock of shit...
Maybe you will sell me one of your NOS Kashi's for what you paid for it 4 years ago! :buck2:
You are BLIND if you dont realise that he was the one who inflated the prices for everything.
I remember GEN 1's going for under £300 3 years ago. Then he decides that each GEN 1 he had should be worth not a penny less than £600 and hey presto......everyone that sold on ebay went for more than £600! Same with Dia Compe parts. I remember his Kashi's in blue were £150! Next thing you know thats what peeps were asking for them.
If Tesco sell their loafs of bread for £10 then Sainsburys wont sell theirs for £1.50 will they. They will push their price up too as they can and thats what we did without even noticing it. So all you guys who bought their MX1000 sets for £40 and sold them for £175 two years later didnt moan about him then did they!!! :-\
Thats where this 'BMX community' crap is floored. And thats why everyone on here IS effictively interested in the money side of the hobby........but so many deny it. >:D
Simple..........dont buy off him and it wont bother you. I bet he is the only one that can STILL get top money for his stuff as he sits on it and waits for the right person for that item to turn up. COS HE CAN!
Clever boy and I think a few are a little envious of him.

i met him a couple of times and he seemed okay, then something happened at one of the early novice nights and i now base my oppinion of the man by that.

The Officious Knob wasn't you Mattdub, t'was some scrawny young chap. Early 20's at the most who said he worked for the Council or summat!! I wasn't paying too much attention as I had already started on the beer!!
There was plenty of room for both groups to camp. So no problem!!! :daumenhoch:
-
I dealt with him loads when I first started building my bikes. I remember thinking £40 was a lot for a black Kashi. :LolLolLolLol:
:LolLolLolLol:
I don't buy from him anymore but that's because I'd rather buy from the peeps on here.
Which reminds me I must get a supporters tag cos I need my buying fix now I'm all sorted again. :daumenhoch:
-
My pennys worth,
I like him, met him and spent an afternoon showing me round his lock up and all the good stuff, he fooked me off by sending me some tyres up North after i asked him to send em to York, but that dont make the guy a tosser. He expensive but after a while in this bike building game you learn to be patient and when that happens you hardly use Bert-ego.
He is alright and whats been said, if you meet him he aint a c0ck like Edison Mathews is
-
i'v found him to be alright the few times i'v been to his house
but i still leave thinking i,m going to do his place over one night

things have naturally increased in price as supply has dropped and demand has risen. E-bay has been the main driver of prices over the years with people paying what they are willing to pay.
B can't be blamed for that. We have seen people on here buy things with the intention of flipping them for profit. It's not dissalowed but it is noticed and you make a rod for your own back by acting in this manner. We've noticed over the years that those in it for what they can get, tend to fall in together. They kind of bounce off each other justifying each others dodgey dealings as and when anybody says anything.
The old school items are worth what they are worth. Some peeps are uninformed and pay more than they need to, some have more money than patience and pay well over the odds. If when they come to re-sell they discover they where 'had' they can be very dissapointed unless they find one of the less informed types.
remember, it's not important what you pay, it's your money, it's important to like what you have.
the most bewildering part of the prices is the hutch stuff. WTF, is showing off that important to some people.
i've bought off biagio, i've sold to biagio. so far i've earned miles more off him than he has off me personally. So it's not all bad. if he has something i need and it's within budget and unavailable anywhere else, i will buy off him. But as long as it isn't fecked and full off 'shelf' wear(never understood that, ive tons of stuff on shelves at home and none has any wear at all) i'll be happy with my purchase.
-
Agree.
But you must admit that he had a huge influence on the prices of stuff as he is the biggest old skool seller on ebay.
People see the prices of his stuff and assume that their stuff is worth the same.
Thats how he drove the prices up for us guys. :daumenhoch:
Great if you bought your stuff in the late 90's for silly money but a bummer if you want parts and have to pay even sillyer money.
-
B's influance on price's goes beyond anything mentioned!
When I first started out selling, mx900s were £26 posted with a lever and cable,
his prices then hit £60+ and the trade price is doubled to me from my supplier
Never met him, heard very good and very bad about him, never bought or traded with him!
I bet he loved threads like this........good reminder for everyone where to get stuff :coolsmiley: (click my banner ;))
-
is he getting into the curtain market ?
-
beef(curtain)?
-
Fook
I haven't had one reply to a thread I started for about 3 years
fookin lol
-
he's never made any secret that its a buissness to him.i,ve bought stuff off him 2/3 years ago and had no
complaints.his prices are steep now but but he doesn't seem to have owt i want so i'm not that arsed
what he charges.a fool and his money and all that shite.
-
I've bought loads of him around 5 years ago, then the odd part now and then as he has stuff which no other fooker wants to cough up as everyone is hording! :tickedoff: I haven't had a problem at all, his postage is a bit slow but it always arrives in a good condition and I've seen single ebay items sell more than what some of his buy it now's are on his website. I'm sure he refurbs a lot of stuff now though and sells it as NOS as I've heard some rumours about this recently...

Have a nice day

Its about respect
if someone sells stuff they have doctored as nos they are a cun t
if someone sells stuff with hight prices but with respect for the seller then its all good , u dont have to buy it and thats fine
but to do the things that have been done to product then sold witrh a big fingers up to the buyer knowing its not what you say it is then that is wrong and should be pulled
I have never bought anything of any value of B for a long time , after my NOS black tuffs were found to be 2 fronts with a thread engineered to take a free wheel and that was in 2002

I don't own any Kashimax aeros... they all sold, and every one involved, including myself is happy with the outcome. I think you need to look at your 2009 oldschool parts price list, some of the rates are a bit out :2funny:
...and well done on selling the frame set, you must be proud of youself... the worlds most expensive MXII. Kerchinggggg ::)
Any way, have a nice day

ello everyone, yep everyone
I have love 4 ya'all
Well, as sure as the sun rises every day, threads like this will go on.........
anyway....as JT someone said earlier I am firmly not allowed to support, sponsor or trade at MK 09. Correct me if I am wrong...
I have approached RAD many times in past regarding me being involved. No official line has ever been given to me, no reason other than last year 'we have enough sponsors' still can't get my head around this one.
anyway onto this year...I called rom bloke (dave Giller ) direct, he said would look into it and call me back but then had other more pressing things to deal with, I called stodgy repeatedly and PM'd him twice, always a promise to call or msg me back but till this day nothing. I don't respect this kinda lack of basic management of a situation in there being ZERO comms.
There are no lines to read between, I am not welcome, nor wanted by 'radbmx' as a collective. The exact and/or possible varying true reasons why I don't know.
Is there a thread about this anywhere? lol. NOTE, I aint feeling bad about this , people are people and as they say 'nowt queer as folk'
So any one wondering why I don't 'get involved' or 'give something back' you have our answer. The powers that be will not allow it.
Best I don't say that there would have been a lot of happy customers at MK.

Never had a problem with ya' :) , dealt with you more times than i can remember and always been quick on postage :daumenhoch:
:coolsmiley:

thanks chap, and of course to anyone and every past, present and future customer, even you guys who diss me here ( and indeed there lol ) but may be nice to my face and still buy from me.
We know human nature is what it is ( go figure ), I run 2 other business's so I am stretched at times so I am sincerely thankfull for your patience and understanding if your order takes a couple dayslonger to get out to you ( THIS IS NOT THAT COMMON AN OCCURENCE ) ....as always please try to plan in advance!
I lost count of how many people called me at 455pm ( ok I know, say = or - 15 mins ) wanting something the next day and I bust my balls to 'make it happen' for them
As I have said before, I'd encourage peeps to email ( and remember people, email is not gauranteed ) or call and resolve ya probs or just to tell me what you think...
I was at the OS-BMX re union last month in Ca, maybe some of u seen the pics? Well I kinda feared for my life and was somewhat apprehensive about going but seems that was misplaced, the event was AWESUM!!!, the people were awesum and we all had a great time.....key boards warriors were nowhere to be seen or heard on the day...
I'd recommend the trip next year to any one who's heart and soul is in bmx its worth the cost in my opinion, you'll be blown away if next years do is even just half as good as this years was! Which I am sure it will not!!
-
Nice to see you on here B sticking up for yourself. :daumenhoch:
Remember........you are not allowed to profit on old skool bmx parts in the bmx 'community' :LolLolLolLol:
-
B watch out for munners, think he has a crush on you :smitten:

Back on the phone now mate. Call me someday but not today as im up to my eyes in it.
Love you pete. :-*
-
Not going to get in to an argument here. So, just to settle the facts.
I called stodgy repeatedly
This is a lie. You called me once. The phone line is a Skype one and it records every call.
PM'd him twice
Yep, once to request that you sponsor the event, and once to copy me in on a PM sent to Dave Giller saying how useless I was as I hadn't been in touch.
always a promise to call or msg me back but till this day nothing. I don't respect this kinda lack of basic management of a situation in there being ZERO comms.
You assume of course that I want to speak to you?
Biaggio, as you have choosen to air this on the forum, I will respond to you here.
There are many reasons why having you at MK09 would be a bad move, no doubt you've read several on this thread alone.
But in addition it's the fact that you never get involved with the forum unless it directly benefits you, i.e. you can sell something. You have probably one of the biggest knowledge bases of any member of this forum and yet you never share it...paint codes, technical info, helping to date things, whatever...you never offer up help. In fact you've only posted 37 times in the last 4 years.
This is a real shame as you could be a very valuable member to this site...not least this information, but also as you had the foresight a few years ago to buy up lots of old stock - we do actually admire you for doing this.
We've had dozens of threads like this and also complaints PM'd direct to the RADBMX team about products being listed on your website, people buying them and then the price going up before you send it to them - or replacement products being sent without the buyers agreement. Believe me, we have had it all in the past, lots of little things just chipping away.
For me, the problems go a long way back. The issues above I have also experienced, plus of course the condescending PM's and emails in the past about how we run events and the site in general. Also the contempt you seem to hold the RADBMX members – again this has been well documented on the forum.
I think the main thing for me though was the Spring Event at Epic in 2006, where you had advertised it on your site but had left out the key fact that it was a RADBMX event – you promoted it to your customers as ‘your’ event. So, on the night of the event, you turned up with a box of prizes wanting to sponsor the event. You hadn’t spoken to me or any other Mod or Admin prior to event, but you turned up with around a dozen other people invited via your site. Then at the gate when we were checking tickets I stopped you going through and you said it was ‘fine as the organisers said you could sponsor the event and you and your guests could get in for free’. I said I was the organiser and you hadn’t cleared it with me, at which point you said ‘well do you want the prizes or not?’. To save the hassle I let you in and was then threatened with violence by the guests you had bought with you when I said no to them. This type of presumptive ‘sponsorship’ is unacceptable and downright rude – you slag me off for being unprofessional and lacking basic management skills, you need to look at your actions first. After all, you wouldn’t rack up at the BMX Masters and say ‘right, I’m sponsoring this’.
Listen Biaggio, I have nothing against you personally, but some of your actions in the past both targeted at me and other members have caused us to make the decisions we have. You have in the very early days supported the site with prizes for members, for which I know Dave and Bill are grateful. You have also provided a good service to a large amount of members, but also it seems upset others.
I don’t want to fall out with anyone in life, it’s too short and we’ve all got to make a living. So if you fancy a water and chat at MK09 then no probs dude – look me up (I’m the lanky blond one you ignore each year).
My advice to you would be to get more involved in the forum, start taking an interest in the people that fuel your business and they will take an interest in you.
Peace out bro.
-
fookinell. b. that took some badgering to get you on here ;D
-
As dave says, perhaps a chat at MK, and sort out any future problems from occurring.

Hi
thanks for sharing your views and feelings...its appreciated.
On the 'call' front, I did try several times and also ya mobile..but no worries....
I didn't choose to air in public...its never my philosophy or belief to conduct this way. I waited for a reply by other means..but never mind now I have it and we can hopefully all understand one another better and move on...
I have opinions yes, ref. running of site and comms, like many people, I never quite understood why people are allowed to be publicly 'flogged' on a forum and its that I kinda struggled to understand more than anything.. for that reason and the fact I work too many hours already I have just not had time to be more involved on rad.
Of course theres always the fear that I will just get beaten up more often than not on here so for my own personal sanity's sake its not something I care for...I am here to help and serve...not to feel bitterness & frustration towards the community..
regards the abusive attitude of guests of mine in 06 I apologise and have never been made aware that this happened. I apologise for this as yes they were invited by me. They are good friends and all thoroughly nice chaps so I hope that that was 'out of character' for he/them or possibly testosterone fuelled macho humour that maybe went wrong...in any event soz...
about me attending with a box of prizes, It was cleared verbally beforehand.....with another site owner.....I would not presume like that...
I will have to look back at that advert for the spring event....if the wording was innapropriate I apologise, ( this is not a formal apology or admission of guilt, I just do not have time to check ) from my point I just thought more coverage in advertising the better for the success of the event..that WAS my only motive.....I've no wish to try mislead and make people think I am an event organiser or promoter. I thought its abundantly clear RAD was the organiser...I can see the opposing view tho...
anyway onto the future..my time is limited, some of you know of the major change to my personal circumstances in 08 partly brought about my tireless dedication and long work hours ( mostly BMX ) , anyone at any time is welcome to call me or email me for advice as many of you do....at just about any time!
On the issues of trading, I have probably done upwards of 20,000 individual transactions worldwide, so of course there will be anomalies, its hard to please everyone at all times, some cannot as the old saying goes be pleased any of the time....I think considering the volumes, I have done reasonably well...trying to be better...and most if not all problems get sorted...so then there are no problems...
Onwards and upwards for all!
-
No calls logged on my mobile either B? Perhaps you're trying the wrong numbers.
I challenged you about the lack of 'RADBMX' on the 06 event at the event, you told me you weren't in control of the website and too busy to change it. I noted though when you posted the pictures you acknowleged RAD.
Anyhow, line drawn.
Let's move on. See you at MK09.
