this happens every so often ,,managed to get a flyer this afto , so i though id hit the track for an hour or so, work on the fittnes, try to get through the tripples in a straight line, have a good bash at the first straight setts without bailing, know what i mean ;), been there for a bit when youngs uns turn up, we do the usual "all reet pal" and "whats that bike mate", and i go back to my own little world, got IMO a couple af snappy starts and through the first staight jumps in a straight line and with no bails , result :daumenhoch: after 5 or 6 runs 4 of the young uns hit the hill and drop these nuggots if vital info on me, i think its the sort of advice that needs to be shared with all you OS guys , it could give you the edge at the next meet :daumenhoch:
1 your seat is to high you need to lower it right down
2 your bars are to upright move em back loads,, and there to wide cut em down mate
3 get some smooth tyres without lumpy bits on
4 that cogs to big get a little one
aparently if you do the above you go faster jump further and wont be absolutly knackerd before you hit the second berm :daumenhoch:
ther you go guys expains where i've been going wrong all this time,, kids are great :LolLolLolLol:

You must have got
'How much did it cost?' and 'Can you do a backflip?'
-
You have to show your pants too.

If the they were real youngsters then they'd have their bars too far forward!!
Every track I've been to, the young locals have their bars way too forward (OS Stylee)!!

Ha, sounds like the conversation I had last week.
Questions included:
wow, look how thin them folks are, will they snap?
How much is it worth, about 1500?
That chain is mint, where'd you get it, how much?
Then he looked at the decals - whats it called, am, ammo?
Then I told him it was from the 80's and asked when he was born - 1993 , thats when I felt really old!!!!!! ;D

:) Better than the crap I notrmally get asked/told,normally from scabby junior chavs.Such gems as:
"Do you know who invented BMXs, it was a guy called Dave Mirra."
"Your bike`s crap,it hasn`t got a gyro or pegs"
"Mountain bikes are much faster, they`ve got gears & suspension."
Even had some fruitbooters on the track trying to tell me that it was a skatepark & it wasn`t finished yet...

I get similar questions aimed at me by the young uns round my way, I take it all in, ponder upon their words of wisdom and reply with a mature caring tone...... "Fook of you little tw@t or I will kick the sh*t out of you".
-
:LolLolLolLol: nice one Stidds i'll keep that one in mind
-
Imagine how much faster Gary LLewellyn would have been with a slammed seat. :D
-
I don't know how anyone can ride with seatpost more than 2 or three " out the hole, how ever old you are, haha. Most kids like wide bars now, so the kids who heckled you to cut em are 5 years out of BMX fa$hion ;)
Most OS bikes are set up chav style :P as far as i can see - high posts, bars up or too far forward :P
Make sure your legs are un-bowed for youth style points too, haha. OS bow leged tables are uncool ::)
At the end of the day, its your bike, set it up how you want :) - kids are always gonna heckle you - its all part of the fun of BMX.

i just tell them it`s a new prototype that based on a retro bike and that all the kids will be on one next year when they are released ;D
