There's a pattern emerging... :D
Looking to replace my YST sealed headsets and have narrowed it down to these...
Tange Levin CDS
Tange Levin JIS
Tange Levin Alloy (NJS)
I think it's a no brainer and is going to be the NJS but will have course bow to greater knowledge
LMK what you guys think...
I'm assuming I can use any of these with 1" threaded forks with a 21.1mm stem? :-[
Thanks

C'mon all - someone must have an opinion!

Not sure any of the above will fit- BMX 1" threaded headsets are not the same diameter as regular road/commuter 1" headsets.Moley`ll know the correct size, think it`s 32.7mm ?

You've made me look into this a bit further and now it's doing my head in
I'm swimming in all sorts of Diameter's and stuff.
If anyone can tell me what the bigger and smaller dia's mean and stack heights, oh and anything else I need to think about, or what head tube and fork measurements I need to take, then pls put me out of my misery... :-\
Thx

:) Stack heights generally refer to new school 1 1 /8 aheadsets, basically the total height of the headset top to bottom when fitted.Be easier just to buy a standard BMX specific 1" inch threaded headset, not all are mega expensive or rare.Generallee has some VP headsets in the For Sale section or try PMing JT71 or JTSmooth...

Beartrap 2 are still not hard to find , there's ya headset :daumenhoch:

I think that's my problem
The ones I'm looking at are for 1" threaded forks... :'(

Have seen the bear trap 2's and mx-ii's on eBay. How do these compare to the one's listed above?
I'm looking for (N)OS and something reasonably OK (around £20 each, but flexible to a degree), that is better than my Sealed YST's which were only about $10 USD (unless I don't know what I'm talking about and the YST's are ok ::)) and want stamping like on the Tange's... :coolsmiley:
Ideally sealed too, don't know why. sounds better :uglystupid2:
Pls keep all the advice coming it's all good and gives me things to think about... :daumenhoch:
Cheers

You`ll be fine with either of the Odyssey or the Beartrap....if in doubt measure inside diameter of your headtube..
-
You're fine with the beartrap 2 unless you want late 80's toward mid school which are some of the others you're listing .
-
2 Beartrap 2's on the way
Thanks for all your help fella's :daumenhoch:
