Title: Steel hubbed Tuff axle
Post by: youngy on July 13, 2009, 12:09 AM
Anyone help? Got a NOS front steel hubbed tuff 11 with no axle bolts or retaining nuts, thought the ones on a ally hubbed would be the same but the thread is different so need nuts and retainers Is this normal??. Or should I just swap the whole lot from the ally hub, will it fit?? Cheers Graham

Prob easier to buy an axle repair kit TBH

U can normally pick them up NOS on the Bay. Baggio (Vert-ego) on teh Bay will take Aaaaaagggggggeeeeesssss to come through but there are normally a few on the US site

If you already have the cups etc... you could always just buy some 3/8 axel kits from the Bay - I have just replaced the axles (Weldtite) and cones for £12 delivered for both front and back tuffs - a lot cheaper and still cromoly axles!
