Title: Ame grips Old & New Logo differences???
Post by: 20to26 on July 20, 2009, 04:21 PM
Ok, Stodgy mentions this in a post about MK10 Show & Shine - can someone post pics showing & explaining this difference please. Can it be as simple as OS being lowercase & repops being uppercase letters? I didn't actually realise that Ame grips are still being produced?

Here's what would be an old logo, generically known as the bubble font logo. This would be considered more correct in collecting circles as it's the old design and correct to the bikes era, not used since something like 1986. There is a newer logo, square sci-fi looking thing to be seen on the grips readily available and still being made by A'me today.

I get it now and it saved me from turfing some proper OS A'me Duals  :)

there is a tyre thread somewhere showing the logos etc
and its a valid point that not everyone knows everything about old school and the rarity and hard to find components can be overlooked with ease.
