Title: Looking for a Rider...
Post by: g_lamb on July 23, 2009, 11:13 PM
After not wanting to ride my show pony around at MK and got bored with walking everywhere I'm looking for a rider.

What do we reckon out of this little lot?

1) GT Performer http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=320400737406
2) Redline RL340 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=250469271324
3) Unknown freestyler (Possibly Freeway) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270432003192
4) GT Vertigo http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=320401666472
5) Dyno http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=160350674934
6) GT Performer http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=130319053174

Only looking to spend as close to £50 as I can (Not £120, £150, or £300+  ::)) as I've got other builds going on so fundage is being put into these.

The older skool the better and I'm not sure what's what in this regard with the ones I have selected. I know it's a bit subjective as it should be what I like but in terms of the complete bikes and the quality of components is there a real no brainer?

Mny thx

:) I reckon the GTs are pretty nice, doesn`t take a lot to get them looking great & instantly recognisable.

A GT Vertigo/Performer it is if I can find one for the right price

I've found another on the Bay...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=130319053174

I'm sure I'm getting boring to some of you but I'm still struggling with this stuff and need all the help I can get.

I DO value ALL comments, when they're given...

I think it's now about the components that are coming with these rather than the f+f. I'm just not up to speed with Mid School yet...

Mny thx in advance

Rgds

Am I being too optimistic to get a MS GT Vertigo/Performer for the budget I've set of £50?

Just emailed the chap about 1) above and he has confirmed they are "slightly" bent. Apparently I can't go wrong for £40 for the F+F, Bars & Seat Post...

That's funny, I thought to myself. I'd usually like the forks to not snap on me :uglystupid2:

Thx for spotting this Pickle! :daumenhoch:  :4_17_5:

The search continues...

GT Vertigo would deffo recommend, just my opinion.....

Always use it and has lasted (mind you I don't rip skateparks up !!) for a bit of racing, a bit of freestyle and lots for riding about. You can always muck about with em, ie old skool flavour if the full mid skool aint your thing. F&F the same in both pics, just changed decals over time......

Rider/freestyle and general posing about on

Had plenty of good GT times :daumenhoch:

Good luck in your search anyway dude.

I'm bidding on a bike in Tyne & Wear. It's only @ £26 at the mo'. Luckily me folks are that way next week and can pick it up for me (if I win...). Not sure how much these typically go fo (f+f or complete)?  ???
