OK so this is my first real build and it is a bit of a mongrel! a mix of mid school and old school...
The frame set was a rusty 1993 RL240 which I had stripped and powdercoated in a metallic black (came out a little grey),
refurbished some Skyway alloy hubbed tuffs,
Sugino crank
Ody twisted pedals
GT performer bars
DC Bulldog calipers
Weinmann lever
GT type seat - not sure this looks right?
But can I get the blinkin gyro to work?!!!! nope! anybody live near Margate with gyro knowledge?!!!

Nice.... You got something wrong on your Gyro, the top and bottom cable holders are far to close to each other. I can't see whats wrong though, can you get us a close up pic

Never had a gyro before so not sure how it should be installed...

Like the look of that, Think the grey looks better than black would.
No idea on the gyro, But I think you need to cut the excess front cable off :LolLolLolLol:

heres a pic i found in my photobucket, not a great one but gives a rough idea,is your center bearing upside down? also it looks like yours is fixed near the lower bearing cup?
it should be loose so it can move up and down in the middle of the headset area
-
Think the colour look's good mate :daumenhoch: IMO there would have been too much Black on it , if the F/F had been Black too :-\
The met Greyish colour looks alot classier ;)
Well done mate :daumenhoch:

Well I have checked everything... the middle ring is loose but it seems like the cables from the bottom ring to the splice undeer the top tube are too long and does not allow the set-up to be tight and 'springy' - may have to go back to a straight cable and lose the gyro....
-
I can admit defeat!!! the gyro had to go! I now have a straight cable through!
