Again?
-
Why has it been deleted before .........
Me and JT may have secured all the numbers coming to Britain :Great_Britain:
-
It could have been because Ed was trying to sell his wares without having coughed up for a site supporters tag. You'd have thought when you charge $80 for the postage of 6 lightweight tyres you could afford to be a site supporter.

The MODSshould have just deleted his threads .It was informative to be fair .The thread was warning of his high postage prices .
-
I think this thread will now be as informative on high postal costs.
I rang Dave to see if the RADSHOP was going to stock them so that we could get them at a decent price without ridiculous carriage cots. He's going to look into it and get back to us.
-
It was deleted because Ed is a commercial seller and that is not allowed on RADBMX without prior agreement, with or without a Site Supporter Tag.
The rules are clearly stated in the FOR SALE section.

I've been a site supporter. Bob initially took down the post last night because my supporter status expired. Once he informed of that, I immediately "coughed up" another site supporter donation direct into the site's paypal account, told Bob that I had done so, and then he put the post right back up.
Now it's down again... don't know why though..... I've done what I was asked to do in order to keep my support status..
In addition- my site calculates the weight of each item. I have to keep the shipping numbers correct if someones orders just "one" item. Sometimes when multiple items are added to the cart, it does not calculate correctly the ship costs. If the site overcharges Priority international shipping, a refund is sent. The post office here in the States is pretty expensive for Priority or Express international shipping, which is the only method that I use these days for the sake of Paypal rules and regulations by shipping out items with tracking.

It was me that posted the initial thread, anyway i'm buying mine from this lad on bmxmuseum he's only charging $18 postage to uk

Marty , are you saying it's $18 extra to UK on top of his $50 posted price because I'm presuming $50 is just within USA.
What was the total of your purchase?
Thank you ;)
-
i ordered 1 set of tyres ( $50 ) and he said add another $18 for shipping to the uk, then ordered another set and he said add another $5 to cover the extra weight ( i'm assuming he's just gonna send as one package )
hope that helps mate, if you order ask when he can ship to you :daumenhoch:

Here's another question to consider, rainbow comp's are looked down upon by the hardcore bike builder, myself included but are these really any different? The yellow label the one to get because it's the rocking horse poo of tyres, all this is is sticking that label on a rainbow comp to dress it up and pretend its a rarity. I'll still buy some though, fact is tyres are a pain in the arse to find.
Any thoughts?
* Thanks for the above info marty
-
i dunno about that mate just think its a good deal, decent tyres are hard to come by are'nt they

Harder to find than Schwinn Maximizers ???
-
Nah, not really Chris, there are a few others , the Hutch ones too for example but you know what I mean, they're up there with desirable hard to find tyres.
-
Might as well have the rainbow logo unless the actual tyre/wall looks the same as the 80's, doubt it though.
-
do ya think they ll repop comp pools and do em in blue or yellow as ive got a bit of a dilema going on involving a GT performer , tuffs and zeds :LolLolLolLol:
-
how much do the originals sell for ?
-
I've had an $18 return on the postage cost of my 2 sets of tyres from Ed Ferri. Good Lad.
-
Has anyone got pics of the tyres, are they any good :-\
-
There is a pic on here:

Overall- Tioga did a good job on these tyres. I wish that they had made more, but I'm glad they at least made some!
I called Tioga USA a few days ago, and a rep there told me that they will now be doing an annual re-production of one of their "Legacy" tyres in very limited numbers.
My fingers are crossed that they will do a Comp III 24" skinwall next year! I'm a cruiser collector these days.. and I know that I can use some of those!
