Title: How do your identify the year for PK Ripper

Mines 58985


and it's a loopy , so its pre 1985  , so the last 2 digits arent the year


I've had another before and you couldn't tell the year of that either ?

 ???

You can't. They didn't date them.

thought all the loopies started with a 'PK' though.....   ???

So why is it on some peoples descriptions of their bikes , it may say 1983 looptail Ripper  etc  :-\

I take it , it's just when they'e had it from new or they're just guessing   ::)

Yeah Sam , mine starts with PK ,  didn't bother putting it as , like you said they  all start with it  ;)  :daumenhoch:

Answered your own first question, HD, also some colours were only available at certain times but i have no idea which or when. I read once that they started to do them in some sort of order but quickly lost track. There were records of when every frame was made at SE but they were lost during the Fuji take over i think.

but did the straight stay rippers just have 5 numbers and no 'PK' prefix  christian?

Betty has Dan Harris' old 85 Straight stay now , we best ask  him what his number is  :)

No PK prefix on the 85, just a serial number, starts with a 5 (assuming 85) then a 4 digit serial

5 0837

yet my 86/89 pit bull ripper is PK 006....      ???
