Title: SUGINO 400 CRANKS

What year did Sugino 400's first come out? I know they were about in 1983 as they were factory spec on the Laserlite.

But were they about before 1983?

I'm building something that's 1981/82 and need some era correct 3 piece cranks.

Anyone know?????

If your going for 81 build and redline then pre pinch cranks would be correct.

OK so the 400's are 1983 at the earliest then?

Don't want to use Redline 401's either.

How about Shimano DX Cranks pretty sure there from 1981/82.

What's crap Pete 400's or Shimano DX's?

Paul the 400's are survivors currently on my Kuwahara Cruiser.

Right that's it I'm using Suntour VX's instead now 1979-83.
