Title: tuf neck stem timeline
Post by: markyp on September 15, 2009, 04:28 PM
just out of curiosity really, ive got two tuf necks, one has got the tiger looking left and says below it tuf neck usa,the other has a bigger tiger looking right and says above it tuf neck and below it pro model, the latter has slightly rounder edges, although i think that is due to the fact that the former has been polished and taken off the slightly convex edge,so which tuf necks came when please  :daumenhoch:

I think that they started off as the one company then split into two, or something along those lines,

Father and son businesses  :daumenhoch:

I beleive that the early Square Edge stems with an oval TN decal were available early 76, these then became round edged in about 1980/81 and acquired the embossed stamp c.1982 (maybe earlier but can't be sure)  ;)

;D think you need to polish that stem  :-X

I'd tidy up the bolts and refinish the edges and maybe refinish with the satin look  :-\
