Title: tuf neck stem timeline
Post by: markyp on September 15, 2009, 04:28 PM: just out of curiosity really,ive got two tuf necks,one has got the tiger looking left and says below it tuf neck usa,the other has a bigger tiger looking right and says above it tuf neck and below it pro model,the latter has slightly rounder edges,although i think that is due to the fact that the former has been polished and taken off the slightly convex edge,so which tuf necks came when please :daumenhoch:

I know Tuf neck and Pro neck where two seperate companies

I didn't know that, I thought Tuf Neck Pro Neck were somehow joined because there stems are almost idenical ???

Father and son businesses :daumenhoch:

I beleive that the early Square Edge stems with an oval TN decal were available early 76, these then became round edged in about 1980/81 and acquired the embossed stamp c.1982 (maybe earlier but can't be sure) ;)

Son split from father and started Pro Neck I believe .
