GUTTING MATE... :'(
LOOKED THE WINNER.
-
It was only a matter of time wasn't it. :LolLolLolLol:
Glad he got away with that so lightly.
-
Cro-moly :4_17_5:
-
Jesus! Mind you he got some air didn't he. Couldnt work out what the poor frame was though.
-
It was a Floval.
Couldn't agree more with you there though Mike.
Cro-Mo feels better as well.
-
yeah was his 2nd moto. good that he walked away and was able to carry on racing on Jai's bike. still got 2nd in the final and jumped the big doubles again :daumenhoch:
-
In fairness to SE, TJ's frames take major punishment (think he has done about 4 sets of Landing Gear this season if the rumours are true). But the main reason I don't like aluminium frames is exactly for that reason - they just go pop. With cro-moly, you usually get a warning crease or crack before the whole frame goes pop.
-
Agree with Mike that TJ's Floval has taken some serious punishment this year so sooner or later that was bound to happen as they can only take so much. Thankfully TJ walked away from this one with nothing more than cuts and bruises. He was joking later in the day that he would weld it back up and put it on Ebay!! :D Definitely cro-mo for my boys and me and was amazed to find that there's still a new Dialled MX24R frame for sale (PM me and I'll tell you where) so maybe SE could badge it up for TJ for next year ;). Humps

wow
glad to see him step away from that :daumenhoch:
-
It's a very graceful frame snap. The front end tries to win the race on it's own!
-
Headtube with TT still attached with a clean break at the seat tube.
I've seen a few where they have broken off the head tube but never a break on the headtube with TT still attached with a clean break at the seat tube.
Is it unusual to see a frame snapped that way? ???
-
was getting some good air there glad he walked away tho looked nasty when it went
-
Thats mad!
Good to see people walk away from something like that.
-
Moley i have the frame with me and the downtube gave way past the reinforce gusset and when it went it just teared the tubing away from the seat tube
the frame is going on the wall at Shiners office ;D
anyway don't think anything would survive the way TJ rides them

-
props to the lad ..he did not let go off the bars untill he slide about 25 feet ...
-
Mad vid , glad he's ok ;) . It does'nt look to be a front wheel casing either ? , like I think most assumed he would break something . Looks like slight rear end casing/hook up ? . Those doubles are loooong !! .
-
did he manage to retreive his gonads????ouch, that made my butt twitch!!
-
Just watched the vid....you can hear the "ping"when the frame goes
Big respect to TJ for riding it out....... :daumenhoch:
