My sons 16" pit has the same dropouts as those. His is tigged though and chrome. It has aero tubing too. I have seen that gusset somewhere.
As the others have said, "shite"

Coastvl, You've seen those gussets before, I think I have too...... They look like the gussets on a particular model of Repco Hotfoot (The Chromoly model that came out with alloy wheels, Sugino spider etc).

I have that exact same Hotfoot ad on the back cover of my Pancake BMX magazines. My favourite ad in Pancake was the ones advertising the Patterson frame sets and OGK wheels. Anyone got a scan of that by any chance?

Coastvl, Thanks mate, Your a legend. I love that Patterson frame set. I used to own one of those Patterson frames but I was never able to locate the matching forks so I bought a pair of Tange forks and customised them to replicate the original Patterson forks as best I could.

Falcon also released a bike based on that hotfoot frame in 81 or 82... best falcon i ever rode...really light for its day. Came with mettalic silver frame, red 7cs, suntour hubs and 3 piece alloy cranks in red, red alloy v bars, dc 890s etc.

The Hotfoot pictured in the ad, and in this pic is not crap:

I never heard of them back in the day, but look at those welds, plus look at the high quality components in that ad.. they didn't normally hang those on junk bikes. Not at all like the red one pictured in the first post.
Most likely Akisu.  And  Akisu = dirty bum
