What a turn out in cruisers :daumenhoch: 21 riders and semi finals :4_17_5:
Top stuff having darren (buckmore bat) boughton, mikee dialled wong, kevin(carnage)carlin and darren(never new i met you 20 years ago)flint :daumenhoch:
I was amazed when i arrived and saw so many people at daggers and i hope we can get 21 riders in cruiser at the next meet :daumenhoch:
Well done to gary porter he rode superbly :daumenhoch: and there were a lot of good racers there today who were all up for it
-
Really enjoyed racing today. Track rode nice and fast and plenty of comp on the gate. Finished by 2pm so a couple of hours play time as well.
Must've been about 20 locals riding the track after racing. Let's hope some of them can be recruited into the club.

How many of the 20 had brakes that worked? They normally wait over the little skatepark until the racing is finished. Shame I know.
Well done to Joe 'Long legs' Stupple on his rider of the day :)
-
Forgot to mention joe stupps :daumenhoch: he really did get stuck in today especially in his semi :daumenhoch:
Poor old bills back let go again in his 2nd moto :( get better bill we need you back to full fitness jumping all the doubles at daggers and cursing :LolLolLolLol:

Yep Joe is doing really well for a novice at racing, and I`m falling to pieces, I`ve lost 3 years worth of fitness in 3 months and my legs have completely gone, it`s going to be a hard fooking winter for me :(
-
gutted - got up and felt awful so went back to bed woke up at 1pm and felt fine... go figure...
lets hope we can keep up that sort of attendance going forward....
-
It'll be a good series if we can keep those numbers up through winter. Had to work hard to get into the A-final.
-
Due to the EA Regional date on 25th October we have changed our 2nd round to 1st November - hopefully this will keep everyone happy :)

Heard Steve Richardson (who ive known for about 20 years) tried one of his 'special lines' on the 2nd Berm - he tried that on me last summer meeting we had missed my back wheel by about a cm! he's new back and will be a welcome addition to the 30-39 next year once he gets his fitness up. His old man is a bit quick as well having raced 'dads cruisers' BITD and been riding MTB's ever since...
well done on making the A though mike with that many riders anything could happen (and normally does!)

Can't remember who it was who crashed me out in the final, but he (and his bike) came off worse than me and mine ;) Think I was in 4th and about to challenge Spillers for 3rd before that happened, but that's racing!
I made the mistake of taking it easy in Moto 3 (after getting 3rd and 1st in the first 2 motos) cos I knew I was already through to the semi. I then got 2nd in the semi and expected to get 3rd or 4th gate pick, but ended up with 7th pick (and gate 7) cos of the 4th place I got in the 3rd moto! Anyway, I now know for next time.

sounds like an excellent meeting....
cant make the next (re-scheduled) BAD meeting but think i will pop along to braintree on the 25th
-
Does sound like a real good day & i'm planning & hoping to get there for the next 1, £ permitting. I really need to race REAL tracks with full gates & 21 in cruiser is just the ticket. Sorry to hear about your back Bill mate, hard as it may be to resist but you really do need to start from scratch, feel for ya 'cos i know how frustrated you must be. :(
-
I know its only monday but don't forget its daggers this sunday :daumenhoch:
Lets hope we get 21 cruisers again or more if possible :daumenhoch:
-

to be fair you daggers lot should make the A its your home track !
i dont have a home track to practice on so will come along and try and scrape into the A myself, with you somewhere behind me of course spillers ;D
jump session after again ??
-
Always up for a little session if racing finishes early enough.
-
Have a good one boys - ill be sunning myself on the Gold Coast!!!
-
So what happened then, it's all gone quite, who braved the rain, how many riders and who made the A?
-
It wasn't looking too promising when I turned up cos of the rain and the track had quite a few big puddles, but it turned out fine for racing.
17 in cruiser which was good. I won B-final after crashing out in the semi. That bloody third berm is becoming my nemesis as that's 2 races in a row I've crashed out there :tickedoff:
Kev Riviere won the A-final.
Another good day of racing. I always enjoy riding at Daggers :daumenhoch:
-
I can't believe that people made the effort :idiot2: i was still at home at 11:30am then rang and spoke to sharon to say "surely it must be cancelled" and the reply was "no theres loads here including 17 cruiser riders...wtf :LolLolLolLol: so i had to turn up rather than be called a pansy.
No darren flint though the big poofter :-* and i made the A with a little help from mike and duncan mewett doing some berm warefare in the semis :crazy2:
-
Sounds like another fun days racing at daggers. I can't wait to get back on my bike, hopefully in time for the next round
