 :) Interesting but how often do people put on/remove their brake ? Also would the horizontal holes in chainstays weaken them by any significant amount?

I was most impressed that they were where they should be on a frame - on the chainstays...

Don't they get in the way on the chainstays? or has micro gearing done away with that problem?

keep em in your ruck sack ,then you can put em on when the plod pulls you for no brakes,  is it actually illeagle to ride a bike on public highway with no brakes?  i sound like my old man    :LolLolLolLol:   :police:  neat idea, in twenty years or so them bits will worth a fortune to some old git on a resto site  :daumenhoch:   :LolLolLolLol:

not only is it illegal to have no brakes, you legally need a bell and reflectors I think.

but someone with better knowledge than me could probably confirm that.

all brand new cycles legally have to be sold with relflectors and a bell, once you buy your cycle with reflectors and bell attached you can wheel it out of the shop then wheel it straight back in and ask them to remove em, stupid but true :idiot2: :idiot2:


as for the brake/no brake thing, personally if i ran no brake id die and i see so many people come off or have near misses cause they have no brakes

How often?

My son puts his brake on every couple of weeks for one session, his mates (all teenagers) are the same, and nearly all of em ask me to set the brake up for em just to take it off the day after!

Dunno bout the issue with holes in the frame but Fly know their stuff and i doubt they'd market a frame without testing

I like the idea of having the brake set up and ready to go in minutes

Showed my lad the vid the other night and he wants one... my wallet is groaning as i type... lol
