Title: RNC Appreciation thread
Post by: thecaptain on November 04, 2009, 09:28 AM
not quite mid school but i figured this is the best place as any to bring em up

who remembers them, used to make alot of titanium bmx parts, a few for race but most for freestyle stuffs.

Since the price of titanium went up severly they had to close down, proper shame as alot of the stuff they made wasnt bad at all, like the fullguard bash sprocket and the normal ti sprockets, which ive been running for the past 3 years.

anyone else got any parts RNC made, would just like to see em as even google searches are becoming tough.

I loved RNC products, I've had their street cranks & race cranks, sadly tho I've broken both pairs..
I still have them and keep promising to get some spares made up so I can run them again,.
currently I have..  a seat clamp,  two 9t drivers, a 24t sprocket + a bunch of 10-14mm wheel nuts..

heres a tarty little pic I did a while back..

sweet!, all that stuff in the photo looks minty mint, ive bought and sold a god number, maybe 5-6 pair of street and race cranks, ive seen a few ti axles specifically for the rnc cranks on ebay, think they'res one on ebay US for around $30 bidding if that helps

I broke the axle on the race cranks, the 19mm hollow version, but snapped the arm on the streets around the pedal boss, was thinking about having the 22mm axle machined down at the ends as kind of a hybrid street race crankset?..

did get to speak to the RNC factroy direct just before they closed, tryed to get them to sell me one of their ti 25t full bashgaurd sprockets... no joy tho? would love one....

I was very lucky to find a 36t RNC for sale at Hardcore Hobbies last year... it has been on my bike for a year and is has no wear on it whatsoever. Ti is heavy material for sprokets, but a price I'm willing to pay for a sproket that's going to last me a decade.
