Didn't they just fade like that with age?

I have a set of 901's with tech 4's and they are exactly the same as that. I don't know how they did it but this was definately a finish available at the time and not a result of fadeing. One of the mogoose cali's in around 86 or 87 came with a lee chi brake set up in the same colour. :coolsmiley:

I concur :D  I've had a couple of bronze coloured pieces which started off black and faded to that colour.  If you look at the levers pictured you can see they are still black in some places - probs where the sun couldn't get to them. ;)

i had some rims anno'd black a few months ago ,,and got told if they wernt a decent job they had a chance of going brown

hence why black normally costs more to have done  :daumenhoch:

I am not sure you are right; I've never seen anything marketed by Lee Chi in that colour; black fade to brown Yes, marketed No.

I was once told there is no such colour as BLACK, It is just a shade of another colour, Normally brown or purple. If you notice tinted windows look black but at the right angle and light you can see purple.
Try googling the subject :)
