Hi guys, Ive just got a kuwahara laser lite with a 3 bit crank (think it`s a Sugino 400 Crank?) and i`ve been trying to remove the arms taken the caps out and there`s a bolt says sugino 15 on it but i can not get a socket to fit in the hole, do i need a special tool to undo it. cheers

You will need a thin wall socket to fit in the hole.
-
dont fook about, just takw it to a bike shop
-
'takw' - are you still drunk Pete?
-
my eyes were still puffy
-
Thin wall socket here i come!

Before you beat it off with a knackered socket and lump hammer (or better still, use some mole grips!), just bear in mind that crank is worth £400+ in mint condition.

Crank removal tool , £5ish on ebay. After years of struggling and damaging cranks trying a variety of inventive methods I bought the correct tool and the satisfaction and ease of using it for the first time was overwhelming. I cried buckets and had a big piss.

So i now have the 2 nuts and washers off, "but the arms seem stuck" what is the best way to get them loose (i take it arms just push on ) cheers guys
-
See Mark J's post about a crank removal tool, or you can ride till they loosen, though this method usually results in the the arm falling off and getting scuffed so best to use the tool

always get the right tools for the job """"""""""""through hammers and mole grips in the bin """""""""
