Title: GT Pro Performer finished.
Post by: aditup2004 on March 17, 2006, 05:17 PM
Mid school Pro performer.
Tried to build a daily rider which would have dual purpose.
Maybe going to change the crank for a flight or something similar.
The frame I think is a Signature model, can't remember who's, but someone on here said it was due to the brake mounts on the forks. It is nice and light.
Enjoyed building this bike, as it has to work as well as look good ie; the brake actually stop you, etc.

Custom made brake set up to allow the gyro to twin pull on the rear canti's, more efficient leverage.

GT stickers on the bay
http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZfelnzo
Although he has not got any red listed at the moment.
Seat post is the right one, 22.5mm old school sizey.
The brakes work a treat, the set up with the direct pull makes all the difference and makes the feel very positive (less mushy)
Cheers, Ad

Few bits changed;
Redline Cranks New OS style Flight
Redline C/wheel 41t
Seatpost. (still needs to be down a little more I think)
Got a Black headset for it but it don't fit (not going down the old "headset size" road again  :'(

i was gonna suggest putting those prolines on it. theyare fantastic cranks for the money.

the only problem i have had with mine are make sure you keep on top of the big alllen bolts on the arms, cos they have worked loose a couple of times.

looks like its come straight out of the shop. good build mate.

I love this bike Ad, superb.

I am actually building a chrome version of this for my missus, I think she finally decided that I am not going to give this hobby up so she may as well join me.
