Well this has taken me a long long time and much much money :)
BMX Bandits Replica as close to original specs as poss, I was supprised that more people haven't done one, that I've seen anyway.
It was a case of watching the start of the film and always liking chrome frames, I had a DB Silver Streak a few years back, someone had thrown at the local tip, I cleaned it up, and sold it as it was half my mates that worked there, very nice bike to ride so got me starting this challenge of builing this ::) Started early summer and just finnished today after waiting for seat and seat post clamp for months!!
Huge Thanks to Cbrgil Retrospect for the DB Decals and Pad Set
Also big thanks to Vert-Ego for Brakes and Stem
And many ebay sellers for the rest in the UK and USA

Nice build.
I always like the "non" factory spec builds, it's nice to see some thing a little different.

Thanks for the kind comments guys :)
That was one thing with the Burners MK1, if I had the seat post on max it was alright for me
Think this post is 400mm long  but still a little lower than the Burner
Nice build that mate are you going to go down waterslide with it ???
Wish i was in Oz so I can rip through and go down it  theres been a few different things said about the bikes in the water slide, someone over there said they were plastic, Nicoles looks like a GT Permformer frame also.

Great stuff mate :daumenhoch:

Nice build, looks pretty spot on! :4_17_5:
I remember my Dad taking me and my bro to watch that at the cinema bitd when we were as young as. It was a special double billing with Beat Street so we ended up watching both films back to back. (Old school memories!)
What bike did the fat lad have?
-

Very nice indeed, nice attention to detail. What frameset did you use?
Btw, they also used a TK frameset which had a couple of cameo roles.

Yeah I noticed that in odd places, I think it's TK one when they jump over the pickup, didn't know thats what the frame was till looking on here though ;). It was one thing that made it difficult to decide on the bikes to use. In the end I decided to to go with the ones at the start before they ride and stick with what parts are on that.
I believe the frame is DB II Silver Streak, would the senior pro or other it poss is in the film be slightly bigger?
I didn't really know anything about anything other than burners before building this, I just studied the film to work out the parts, Brakes took awhile as it confused me with the Shimano Lever on upside down on the left side as they used r/h lever for l/h sie also sbut I thought i'd get correct pair ;D

The frameset used in the film was a Senior Pro, but don't let that take away from what you've done. :daumenhoch:
I was going to build up my TK as a replica, but changed my mind and built a custom pro

has anyone else noticed that the waterslide bikes only have half a crank each?
