Sorry, I used to skateboard as well as BMX (skated first, in fact) so can see both sides  ::).

most skaters are sound in my experience :daumenhoch:
i talk to them as much if not more than the bmxers tbh, less style insecure and less hang-ups,
i cant skate anymore these days, terrifies my ankles after seeing calows crash a few years back,

alot of it just comes down to park etiquette,  you can soon learn to tell the folk that are new to it and just show them a little patience,
if you find yourself getting snaked a lot try to make it clear with your physicality that youre about to drop in,

i have hit a fair few though, completely by accident, one dude was skating pissed up and wanted to fight me for crashing in to him, all i could do was laugh at him trying to look at me straight,
he's a good mate now,
