Post by: moanjam on November 27, 2009, 08:16 PM
for me chrome is through and through bmx , cannot remember any other bikes other than bmx bitd being chrome , it has a certain air of quality to it but i know a lot of people prefer paint/powder , (n2cus,meticus,dan  ;) ) , whats your preference ?

Horses for courses, but I have to say I have no idea where you were or what years you are remembering as most bikes bitd at least early bitd were wither painted or Nickel (as Mongoosewere one of the first to hit the shores).  Chrome came in big stylee towards the mid to end 1981.  Most makes offered paint as the base model and chrome on the top end models or were available at an extra cost  :daumenhoch:.

stunning job that it really is but most of the work ive seen done over the last 10 years has not been up to scratch. just my opinion but anything less that perfect is no good to me.
chrome for race bikes colour for freestyle (because freestylers have more style...lol)
