They would be a nice touch for anyone who's done or is doing a CC Replica bike  :daumenhoch:

whats the script with the non-wrapped crank and pedal bosses? are these a mid school flight, or a truly early gem?

*edit, just found this-

What worries me more is that the name of the person selling the crank is Craigcampbell69bmx which indicates that this is Craig himself, and the description says "used by old school BMX legend Craig Campbell".

Who the hell calls themself a "BMX legend"?  You really have to think incredibly highly of yourself to do that.

I don't think its Mr Campbell doing the selling. If you read the answers to the questions he/she never says 'my'   its says 'Craig's bike' - maybe being sold on his behalf then...

Q: which one of Craigs bikes were they off and from what year cheers Jon
A: They are from the last chrome Prolite that Craig owned before he sold it around 1995...

weird... you don't talk about yourself like that.

'Do you want a cuppa Ed?
'Yes Ed would like some tea and he is often partial to biscuits also'

Yup, could well be CC - see this http://www.fatbmx.com/modules/news/article.php'storyid=6343

Do you still own a BMX bike?
Craig: I've got some Redline Flight Cranks, I'm gonna get a bike soon, see if I've still got it in me.

And so he should! He should sign them and make them worth even more. Tim Ruck has got a GT Malet stem that used to be Craigs, and Geoff had got a Prolite frame that was his. With those cranks, thats well on the way to a whole bike

Its him. I spoke to him on is facebook about it yesterday.
Unless someone has hijacked his ebay AND his facebook just to sell some pretty crappy cranks.

(pasted from facebook:)
Craig Campbell- 42 people watching, no bids, 3 days to go...
Chuckie Burrows- You have keep it!!!
Martin Welzerno- No bids??? i can link it in a german bmx forum if you like , maybe someone there can use it?
Martin Welzerah- ok, will be a bid-war in the end...haha. linked it also in that forum i was talkin about.
Alex Leech- Sorry to say Craig but they are early to mid 90s cranks. Not a patch on "real" 80s flights. I think the chainring might be even later?
Craig Campbell- Yeah I know, the chain ring is more recent too but I'm selling em anyway...

He's probably suffering from Facebookitis where all your wall posts start with your name.  Craig's OK.  At least, according to The Exalted Mr. Maurice Meyer, Lord of all he Surveys.

Funny thing: that talking in the 3rd person was kind of common when I was a kid.  Kind of a ghetto slap down to call yourself someone's daddy.  As in "let Daddy show you how it's done."  I guess this didn't go on everywhere because I used to do this on the Skyway tours and after a while had Ron Haro and Mat Hoffman calling me Daddy!  Ha.

Daddy

christ! the non legend that is chris job bought some of those cranks in 92.  chris job popped out, no more, no less, on shrewsbury spine ramp and chris job found half his right crank arm on the platform.   chris job the never was said "oh shit me", realised that bmx companies of that era were a bag of charlatans and threw the arm over the spine at steff and will evans.

chris job is not surprised that no-one has bid on them, sorry craig!

chris job the once prolific dig and ride journalist and now definite easy rider wishes to prolong this thread, and is still fuming 17 years on at how shite chris job's so called legendary flite cranks actually were, especially as chris job had to get chris job's friend to order them from ACE in new york and bring them back to chris job in england..  jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!

Alex Leech, who has never broken a set of cranks but probably would have done if he'd used these crap redlines, thinks this story of Chris Jobs helps show why riders in the 90s didnt like Redline, GT, Mongoose ... etc.

JT71 was telling me that Mrs Stidds is in fact Legendary..in the looks dept anyway, he couldn't vouch for her skills in the kitchen! He says he was having a wee, a sit down or "girls" wee, whilst writing this.
