Title: Rebel Bars - Info needed - Pics enclosed
Post by: (((sonic))) on March 15, 2010, 07:49 AM
Evening/Morning (depends on where you are...lol)

I picked up a set on NOS Rebel bars (I think they where made on your shores....) just trying to gather a bit of info on them, from what i understand Rebel manufactured frames in the States but these bars are from the UK......

These have a bit of shop wear but where not big out here, any info would be appreciated..

Thanks in advance..

B

Hey B, thought these were well discuued on OZBmx lol! Rebel was a UK company based inShropshire, they made a heap of different parts, race and freestyle frames. The UK Rebel dates as early as 82, Danny Whitely and Southern Andy are big fans so could offer more info. Rebel in the US is a late 80's company that had nowt to do with the UK, US ones were made by MCS for Rebel. Hope this makes sense!

These bars are quite new to me (never spotted them back in the day either..) so its a bit of a learning curve for me..

LOL, I'm pretty sure Rebel did not export much stuff bitd so they would have primarily been UK and if they have turned up down under I would guess it's eBay or pommes that have brough them in!!!

Great bars through, good quality and light from what I can recall.  Their frames are many and varied; hopefully one of the guru's on them will chime in and give all a bit more info  :daumenhoch:
