there are plenty of sites which have the date codes for shimano,suntour etc, vintage-trek is one :daumenhoch:
However i cannot find any info on suzue hubs,so this is not very helpful in your case,sorry :(

I think the number on 'em is the year, and the letter is the month - ie: 5 A = 1985 January

from what I recall
I think it's in a XY format, where X is a number and Y a letter.
X is the Year
Y being the month
A | B | C | D | E | F | G | H | I | J | K | L |
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
Edit: Just saw dannywhac beat me to it, but at least it's good we had the same conclusion :)
