Post by: kdw712 on September 03, 2005, 12:09 AM
"Erm yes" said i

at last my 1987 Free Agent Limo F&F has arrived from the States  ;) :D ;D :) ;) :D ;D

seen here posing along side some of the parts already gathered

now for the really good bit
check out the top tube on this
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/v603/kdw712/free%20agent/21baby.jpg)

note to Free Agent fans this has all the limo traits
small front gusset, ringed headtube, machined BB, the top tube length and diameter
but it doesn't have the rear chain stay cross brace.
This model has always had the brace in production so this is a mystery.

At the mo i have

Free Agent sealed bearing cassette hubs - from the early 90's i have been told
Odyssey Pitbull I with Dia compe Tech 77 lever and pozi stop seat clamp / cable router
Ame Tri grips
Tioga bars
DX style or Suntour XC II pedals

cheapy seat, chain, chain wheel and tuff neck power disk
also Redline 180 Monster Cranks - may change these though
3pc Padset but as top tube is 1 1/4 " dia,    pad don't go around it  >:(
all came with F&F

Frame is sound with minor ding on brake bridge prob over tightening and rear drops have mild scuffing  :-\
but it will be a rider / racer so none of thats an issue

its currently running 45 / 18 so i think that will need to change
i wanna run 40 / 14 (ish) which is ok for the time of this F&F

Rims and stem still need to think about and find those items

should look nice next to me 91 cruiser

(both need decals)

what do ya think then ?  ;D

that was sweet

Nicey nice. We gotta be talking some red T1000 rims here haven't we. or at least black with red nips. I had a similar pad problem with my Robinson bar pad, cos I put them on new bars. You just need to find some thinner foam padding, that will sort it. My S&M redneck is the dogs, but they are hard to find and I paid a reasonably high price. You can reasonably easy get hold of a GT/Dyno stem, or those Primo ones for around £10-£15. You needs some peds as well.
