So enough waiting around wondering if you can book your holidays this is the official thread for the RADBMX MK14 meeting.
It is to be held on Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 August 2014 at Milton Keynes BMX track.
It is a really special one for us this year as it is RADBMX's 10th Anniversary as we started this little forum way back in 2004 (god was it really that long ago).

Genuinely gutted about this :-[ had the mother of all SE tents planned with all the vintage bikes, nos frames, a prototype, Flovals, Quads, the new project, loads of memorabilia and a NEW race event I was going to plan that didn't mean using the track. :(

Yep, turn up anytime you want from about 7am on Saturday morning. Pitch up your tent, sort out your shyte and have a blast!
Things to bring along.....
Toilet paper
Tent
beer
bike
bin bags for YOUR shyte
money to buy more shyte
shyte to sell (if you want to)
baby wipes for a quick rub down
Things to leave at home
Wife/partner (they will be bored and ruin your weekend)
Kids (see reason above)
basically though, turn up on saturday, pitch up your tent and have a great weekend!
we do have a food van thingy and some portaloos. also a huge skip so you can bag up your rubbish and throw it away.

thinking about last year and the helipad scortching.
One thing we were asked last year was if people could stop making fires or having BBQ's on the grass (and definately the Helipad) as they got the right hump with the scortched grass everywhere.
If you plan on having a camp fire can you please buy a fire bucket/pit type thingy and a few bricks or something to keep your BBQ off the grass :daumenhoch:

When I was talking to Gashead at MK13 he mentioned that with it being the 10th anniversary he was keen to encourage people to bring as many of their bikes/collections along as possible.
Is this still the case?
He also mentioned that more marquees MAY be set up around the location and bikes displayed in 'Brand Tents'.
ie SE all together (obvioudly without wetpants Ash's bikes :LolLolLolLol: ) and GT etc etc.

OK to make sure everybody knows the score..
Please note that the MK14 starts on Saturday 16th August, if you are planning on attending on the Friday then you will not be permitted to access the track or camping area.
Friday is for the admin team to get the site ready for the weekend i.e. marquees up, toilets and skips delivered etc etc.
So to reiterate, please do not arrive for the weekend on Friday as the show, track and camp site will not be available.

I've asked on previous years, and we know that MK is the UKs biggest old skool event, so whats the likely-hood of attracting an influential/major name associated with BMX from either stateside or uk to come along?

This sounds like it's going to be the biggest MK yet. I can see the field over the fence next to the helipad getting busy this year. I had to park/set up camp there in 2012, and I arrived about 11am, so wasn't one of the last to arrive. Might be a good idea for those who get there to set out there tents/vans/bikes in a similar fashion to the helipad in a square, or car boot style in rows.

Been on pins waiting for the footy fixtures to come out as i knew this was the opening weekend ::) ..... were away at Leicester thank fook so im in for the full weekend :) A bit gutted as i had planned to make a date with Ash for this fixture , maybe next season ;) Just glad were not at home otherwise that would have thrown a spanner in the works .

That sounds very wise, I know what I'd rather do
But then I'd rather be kicked in the bollocks than have to watch Villa & Stoke follow a bag of wind around a field for 90 minutes, so for me it's a very easy choice. You won't regret it though :daumenhoch:

I'm afraid not, we did look into it and he was more than up for it.....but we would've had to pay his flights and hotel expenses so we were looking at about £1500 or more. we don't really have that sort of money to pay out unfortunately.

Yes guys, a catch up. I really very much enjoyed the Blackpool Berm but obviously I havent been able to attend any more due to where ive, erm, "been"...... lol
It will give me an insight into something I can firmly get my teeth into when I return to your shores in December after quitting this job.
Im a little undecided what to bring though as im unhappy with both the bikes and have little time and money to sort an alternative. The big daddy or the condor reissue? what do you reckon?? I would have preferred a streetbeat any day......

I'd say that he would be ok if it's first thing on Sunday, when it's really quiet. MK BMX Club are handling all race duties and I'm not sure what time that's starting. :daumenhoch:

Just to reiterate that the track and camping area will be open at 7am on saturday morning and will be closed on Friday.
Friday is purely for us to get everything set up for you guys on Saturday :daumenhoch:

Trains are fooked. ( bus replacement service - real effort )
