Guys, is there anyone on here who takes the scuffs out and polishes seats? I know there was a very good fella on burnerworld years back (Russ?) but I haven't been on in ages so don't know if he's still around.
Worth an ask here first :daumenhoch:

I'll just leave a comment here so I can follow the thread - I have a seat that needs some minor TLC
-
Maybe someone will do a 2 for 1 deal john? ???

Mark, Nick (swan guy) did an excellent job on one of his green GT seats. Worth a pm...
-
I'm pretty sure that RussJ , doesn't do the seat restos anymore, which is a pity as he did a cracking job. I've sent him a text just in case though as I don't think he logs on here that often.

Might have a crack myself if I can get some pointers. Thanks for the heads up guys

I want to do mine myself - it mostly just needs cleaning but there are a couple of areas that need a bit of loving
From earlier threads it seems that wet/dry is good for smooth bits, but textured areas are a bit more of a challenge

Isn't that always the case...? :-*

Dunno if this will have much help but my elina seat come out of a citric bath (cleaning rails) really clean and with atooth brush It was quite nice but obviously wont do scratches ;)

I did the rear edge of my green GT seat with wet/dry very fine grade in one direction only.
Once the rough had gone I ran the back of a spoon over the area to polish away the very fine marks the paper left.
I'll see if I can find pics, I did post a thread a while ago.
It took ages but was worth the effort.

I remember the thread but not any mention of 'spooning'..
Please can you elaborate on your spooning technique?

I only do practical demonstrations :-*
