A ride to the legendary old Redditch BMX track. We will be taking in a lake ride along the way, have the opportunity to go on the new Redditch track and a photo op outside Halfords HQ, where most of us bought our first bikes. We'll obviously be visiting some watering holes and riding off road on a nice route along the Arrow valley.

Ride details and route: Here is the ride route. Quite a green and pleasant ride, not something you'd have expected for Redditch. We will meet outside the Golden Cross Pub which is literally next to the Station at 12 noon. We will then head out of the town centre onto a cycle route so no crossing roads etc. The first stop is the lake ride and a stop off at a licensed café there. We will then head on down to the old Redditch track. It is over grown but you can still make out the features. People can go on the skate park or new Redditch track at this point, if they have a helmet and £3.50. We will then call in at the Golden (Mon)Goose pub next to the track. After that we will stop off for a photo opportunity outside Halfords HQ on our way to the water side Washford Mill pub for a bite to eat. The plan is to chill there and maybe have a later end as it 'should' be a warm and light time of year. People can go home from there or just head back the way we came.
