Thought i'd stick a little post up for the MK Virgins and those who are bordering on senile and might not remember what day of the week it is so they know what sort of thing to expect and stuff to bring along with them.
So to start with the event opens up at around 7am (do not get the hump if we don't open up till 7:30 or so) on Saturday morning (THE SITE IS NOT OPEN ON FRIDAY AND NO ONE CAN CAMP THERE ON FRIDAY)
If you are coming and plan to camp, Please bring rubbish bags to clear your own crap up, we always provide a huge skip near the entrance to the event so you can drop your own rubbish off and help us out, otherwise we (admin/mods) have to go round and do it and we'd like to get home on Sunday before 9pm.
There will be toilets (3 male and one female) but there isn't any running water on site or shower blocks.
Bring your own toilet paper as it runs out real quick
Saturday consists of:
Lots of people showing bikes, selling BMX jumble and a basic chilled out vibe. There will be ramps built by Radii to ride if you feel like having a go ... we are also planning on a jump competition at some point in the afternoon (around 2/3pm maybe)
We will have Show n Shine reg open at the Admin tent (look out for the banner in the main arena)
We are asking anyone with an SE bike/s to bring them along and put them in the main show tent on Saturday for a mass RAD tribute to Scot
We normally do the Lake ride on Saturday evening which leaves at 6pm, this year we will be gathering around the ramp section beforehand so we can give a minutes applause to remember Scot.
When everyone returns the Dog and Duck should be open in the main tent.
Sunday:
Official Show n Shine tent open for all show bikes (* Only bikes entered in the Show n shine allowed for Sunday) all bikes entered in Show n Shine must be in the official show tent or they will not be judged, this is to help the judges who have a huge job in trying to pick winners and don't want to be walking about the whole site.
If you are entering a bike you must bring a stand for it, we do not have stands to rent and no bike will be allowed in the tent without a stand.
Racing will start around midday and will be run by the MK Club again, Registration for this will open soon so look out for that on the site.
We normally pick out the raffle tickets around 4pm and we have a huge haul of prizes for this year! you will be able to see the raffle prizes at the admin tent and we will be walking around selling tickets all weekend.
I guess the main thing is to say that it's just a chilled out weekend of BMX and bullshyte so you can't help but have a great time! :daumenhoch:

What's the food situation?
A few choices or just a burger van?

Good shout! the food will be provided by the same catering company as last year. This consisted of good quality burgers, chicken, bacon, the normal stuff but good quality. Maybe even a Hog roast on Saturday evening as well :daumenhoch:
There will also be an Ice cream van on site for all your lollipop and 99 needs :daumenhoch:

The Roast of Sherwood will provide the food again this year
adding to the lovely food last year , we will be having some beef briskett slow cooked for hours and served to you lovely people
homemade burgers
BBQ and peri peri chicken burgers
roast meats
and a hog roast sat night
we hope to have proper coffee this year

I think the sock should get it - I even have the charred snakepost rescued from the ashes of Mk11, so if anyone can be arsed to put a 22.2 mm hole in a small square bit of wood we could make a nice little display stand for him

Hi guys. I'm travelling down from Teesside so a long trek. I'm coming down basically because Im wanting to buy a few more bikes so which would be the best day to attend. Do I need to buy a ticket beforehand ?

No tickets needed as it's a completely FREE to attend event (although feel free to buy a site supporter tag which helps us put this amazing weekend on for you) The best day? well there really isn't one but if i could only do one day i'd come down on the Saturday :daumenhoch:

That's handy Nick, right on the side of the M1. I live 150 miles north in Leeds, also right on the side of the M1. So a very easy journey for me.
The annoying thing is, on the Friday I will be leaving London, driving past MK to Leeds, then Saturday I'll be up and coming all the way back down again to MK.
