Premier Inn Willen Lake is already full up - either people have been booking speculatively OR there's something big going on somewhere else nearby (buddhist convention?)
Suggest you get yourselves into the Holiday Inn sharpish before that's full too

I agree, the campsite is where it's at on the Saturday afternoon, a nice relaxed vibe ahead of the carnage that followed the lake ride.
Great atmosphere and build up, between the 2 hotels on the Friday.

So my old riding mate has invited me along to MK16.
I've found this site, read up loads and can't wait.
I've got my Haro Sport out of the dirt in the garage and cleaned it up.
But I need to know do I need a helmet to ride any ramps at the meet? I expect I know the answer but wanted to check before buying one. My old Yes open face got dumped years ago when I found it had changed from white to yellow.

safety gear is a must, we don't heal like we used too

Helmet, gloves and Vans it is then. At least I can get Vans everywhere nowadays at the same price as they were 30yrs ago. No inflation. Mad.

You can just turn up with a tent mate. The gate to the site will be open from 7am on Saturday morning.
