Title: WTP
Post by: Obie_1 on April 06, 2016, 10:02 AM
I'm looking at getting a new school bike and have seen a few WTP 2015 Crysis,Reason and Versus.I want one just for riding out on street maybe down local skatepark ive noticed that the Crysis and reason are freestyle and the versus is jump is there much difference in way they ride?Cheers

No idea mate, I've never ridden a WTP but lots do.  Have you checked their web site?  maybe it's to do with subtle geometry differences?  maybe the jump one has a lower BB or something?

From what I gather though they are nice rides  :daumenhoch:

No worries, like I say lots of people swear by them as being good quality.

How old and tall are you?  what's your budget?

for that sort of money it would need to be upgraded with top parts otherwise I'd spend that on a new complete from last years models.

do you have any pictures or links?

what Rob said ^

some bargains to be had if you don't mind last year's model, much cheaper than building custom & you can always upgrade later
if you're going second hand then only way to justify that sort of money is something high spec, new school stuff depreciates quite a bit

Cheers both, haven't a clue how to link etc can give you eBay item no 172156301963 hope that'll work. Thanks again.

the only thing i can see that he's upgraded are the wheels and I don't see £350 worth to be honest even though Cult hubs are nice.

If I were going to spend £350 I'd go for a new bargain from Custom riders

Ok I'll have a look again.Out of curiosity what would you pay for it?Cheers
Title: Re: WTP
Post by: pickle on April 08, 2016, 04:29 PM
no more than £250 i think but I'd need to see it first.

As Griff says, New school bikes depreciate like mad unless they're proper custom builds from the frame upwards.

That looks just like a WTP complete with new wheels/Hubs

I'm not normally one to recommend Winstanleys but these deals are too good to pass up on if you're looking for a bargain new bike

Some of these below have over 50% discounted and are serious bikes for the money, those Premiums are a mega bargain!

If you're dead set on having a WTP, do a bit of research on the frame of the bike, quite a lot have Hi-Ten tubes.

The Zodiac and Volta are the top of the range completes from WTP. Full 4130 tubing etc.

There was a nice unmessed with Zodiac on Ebay for £140 a couple of weeks back.

I have a spare bike I need to move on, its a WTP fully cro-mo frame, 20.75" (can't remember the name, but can look!) United dinero forks, unused wheels and cranks, decent bits throughout, built it as a 2nd rider, barely use the 1st!! . i'd be open to offers on it as the money could be used on my breast augmentation  new project!

PM me if you want to chat.
