Back by popular demand, I'm going to be first in here with the rides for next year.
It sounds like I'm jumping the gun, but it's not that far away really.
It's not for the faint hearted this ride. it could get bloody cold and wet, so appropriate attire is needed.
Usual start, 12pm @ Victoria Stn, and we'll probably take the same route as we did on the usual RADCHESTER ride.

Tuesday 3rd January - Sunday 12th February 2017
For six weeks, all Wirral line trains will start and terminate at Birkenhead North & Birkenhead Central. Rail replacement buses will run between Wirral and Liverpool stations.
This will affect anyone coming from the Wirral and North Wales on the train, as bikes aren't allowed on bus replacements

Dan's right mate , were a friendly bunch ;) :daumenhoch: I only knew a couple of people in the old school scene when i got back into it , i went on the rides out and the old school race days (when they were going) and have met loads of top lads and lasse's , many of whom will be friends for life now ;)

Well said. I knew nobody, and was a bit intimidated and nervous that everybody seemed to know each other when I turned up for my first ride (Manchester, 2011). That feeling lasted about 15 minutes until I got chatting to a top bunch of radsters. Never looked back :daumenhoch:

I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time as in, a very drunk Gaz (who to me, at the time looked a very menacing, hard as fook bruiser), was stood next to me at the bar, and was either being ignored by the Bar Staff or getting refused, can't remember which. I decided at that point that I no longer wanted a drink, and headed out.
I was very ashamed the next few times when I met Ali and Gaz that is judged books by their covers, 2 of the nicest lads you'll meet on a ride.

Why I was so wary is that he reminds me a lot of a local nutter to me, Chris Plant. Chris is a big lad and a big drinker too, always getting asked to leave pubs. In the 90's, he was asked to leave The Parrot, the 2nd pub on the Hawarden ride after Jeff's, Chris left, but came back armed with a holly bush that he'd used the towbar of a car to pull out of the ground from someone's garden, he then forced the bush into the porch way of the pub so nobody could get out, then parked the car across the other exit, locked it up then left, taking the keys with him.

Cheers, I went on the summer one that Jono did but wasn't sure of the route
Think they met at Northern Quarter then went to Castlefield then to Barca bar near the locks and to Canal Street
