Saw a fella commuting on a Chrome 26" Champion the other night in Catford.
Tried to whip out the camera phone but it was too dark and I didn't have enough time to keep my phone still.
Pretty cool ride for rush hour.

Not sure if you meant this as a one-off, but I like the idea of having a BMX Spotted Out and About thread to match the two on classic cars and bikes in the Rad Lounge! So apologies if I'm hijacking here but I went to Osaka the other weekend and although I didn't spot a Kuwahara, I did see this mid-school GT. Don't know much about these, but still a cool-looking ride for downtown Osaka! Likewise the two-wheeled contraption that follows it, even though it's non-bmx! :daumenhoch:
-
So I didn't see a Kuwahara in Osaka (the home of Kuwahara) but I did see one literally 1 minute from my home (in Kawasaki) on Saturday!! Even though it was only one of the modern repops, it was still cool to see so close to home! :daumenhoch:
-
Back to GT for my latest sighting! Saw this mid-school Speed Series at Midoriyama race track last Sunday. Not sure if it was being raced, but it was cool to see something "older". :daumenhoch:
-
A couple more sightings, spotted whilst out and about. First up, another repop Kuwi, this time in ET colours, then a cool-looking 'goose! :coolsmiley:
-
Look at them levers on that Goose... need broken wrists to ride it. :LolLolLolLol:
-
Hadn't noticed that! ;D I spoke to the owner as well - wasn't like he was
a Spen vertically-challenged or anything, though I didn't see his wrists!! :chin:
-
Look at them levers on that Goose... need broken wrists to ride it. :LolLolLolLol:
Reminds me of some of the MK show builds

This is a country where drivers leave cars running whilst they pop into a shop!! One of the reasons why I like living here. :daumenhoch:
-
Saw this Blue Max in Tokyo last week. Had actually spotted this bike before, but thought it was worth a second viewing! :daumenhoch:

A few more sightings whilst out and about. Not old school but what the hell, it's all good! First up, a GT in Tokyo:-

& finally, with apologies that this is not BMX but I spotted these literally just round the corner from my house today, thrown out ready for the bin men on Monday morning:-

It's still there if you want it! :daumenhoch:
Forgot to post these 2 bikes! First is an in-house, retro-styled complete that's sold by one of the Tokyo bike shops. Have seen quite a few of them about during my time here. Next up is what I think is a Mongoose Kos Kruiser, and very nice it was too!
-
Nice reproduction by someone
-
I like that! :daumenhoch:
-
Folding bike was made by kansi released 3 or 4 years ago.

Still cool though! Unlike Photofookingbucket, having just noticed that all my photos have gone for a Burton! Thumbs down
Will go through and re-load them as and when. :daumenhoch:

Saw this on Saturday evening parked outside a restaurant. The owner came out with a stern look on his face, so I quickly snapped this and left. :daumenhoch:
-
Popped into central Tokyo on Monday and had a quick wander around trendy Harajuku, which always has cool bikes around and about the place. Here's a selection:-
-
A few more recent sightings out and about on the mean streets of Japan! I don't normally bother snapping new school street bmx but loved the bars on this one! :daumenhoch:
-
A couple more bikes spotted in Tokyo over the weekend. I missed it to begin with but the first one is a Boss, and the second one of the new Kuwi cruisers.
-
Saw this repop cruiser the other week. Gotta love the bike parking over here! :daumenhoch:
-
I was drawn to the :Great_Britain: chainwheel on this no-namer, spotted the other week in a Tokyo suburb. :daumenhoch:
-
Spotted this Hutch Pro Racer at my local bmx track today which belonged to a dad whose son was attending a race clinic. Cool dad! :daumenhoch:
-
Spotted another of those "How we Roll" retros last weekend, this time in 24" guise.
-
Went to a trendy Tokyo suburb the other evening and spotted a mixed bag of bmx ranging from old school to new school to old school-inspired! Here's the first batch:-
-
Then spotted this baby hiding behind a lamppost!
-
Schwinn Automatic (mid-school tank) spotted in Tokyo today. :daumenhoch:
-
Spotted these bikes outside an interestingly-named Tokyo hairdressers over the NY! A repop Kewi, 70s-style banana-seater and a super cool Lamby! :daumenhoch:
-
Love the black bike with white skyways. That how I remember most BMX. :)
-
Spotted this GT at the BMX track yesterday. Worth snapping for the basket! :daumenhoch:
-
Great too see these out and about, looks a different way of living out there..
In the U.K. they would be nicked or scrap man doing the rounds .
In Cardiff, the local community will remove bikes locked up for a certain amount of time to be then disposed.
-
My BMX is chained up better than some of those and its in my house :LolLolLolLol:
-
Spotted this Bridgestone BTR20 BMX/Trials bike yesterday. Also looked to be unlocked! "nono"
-
Spotted this last night - a Japanese repop looptail. :daumenhoch:
-
Since moving out to the sticks, I rarely spot any BMX out and about but today I nearly crapped myself when I saw not one but two Specialized Fatboys in my local supermarket car park! One was a 415, the other a Vegas:-
-
Spotted this last night - a Japanese repop looptail. :daumenhoch:

Spotted this last night - a Japanese repop looptail. :daumenhoch:
I'd roll that......like it!

Spotted another of those "How we Roll" retros last weekend, this time in 24" guise.
Again, sweet ride!
Great colour combo and V bars look strangely great on a 24...
Seat post would be straight in the bin though.
-
My BMX is chained up better than some of those and its in my house :LolLolLolLol:

People are obviously not afraid to leave their bikes. I would worry the whole time I could not see mine. :daumenhoch:
-
Spotted this repop Kuwi in Tokyo last week. & this one was chained up for a change! :daumenhoch:
