We've all heard those immortal words many, many times:
"I'm not building anymore"
"That's it I'm done"
This is my last build"
Only a fool would say this in all honesty because there is always that one bike that would tempt you back in to the game.
What is your Achilles heel?
Mine was an 84 Performer :smitten:
-
Not planning as yet those above immortal words ..
But "if" it would have to be a TRM build.. :coolsmiley:
-
Never say never, but I'm not planning on building anything, especially as it would mean having to get rid of the ripper
I've hankered after a Torker for a while though....
-
RRS 20
Not retired though, never will...............
-
If a GHP trix came up for sale, that might tempt me. Unfortunately, even if one did come up, I can't afford it at the moment :'(
-
Ace Racing for me, not much chance of finding one though!
-
Freeagent Freestyler, no doubt about that. In chrome, with black tuffs.
-
Not retired yet but slowing down a tad!
ET Kuwi
Chrome TA
DB HLT
Raleigh Pro Burner
I'm sure once the rides start again the love will begin to gush and my head could be turned once more explosion

Off topic..
I have done lotto winners homes in my line of trade..
And trust me , it's great to have it but the hassle that comes with it..
One guy had to pay 10 mil to his ex he divorced 10 yrs ago..
But he did win 68 mil and that's inc splitting with a couple abroad :D

A GHP Pro Long brought me out of retirement, it's a work in progress. Since acquired a Hutch and got thoughts about a Torker Pro X.
"help"
-
An 87 dyno pro compe, which I do have one lined up but can't bring myself to transfer the money! :uglystupid2:
-
I've got two builds in front of me and I'm probably done but if a Tange Flying Rhino Axeblade came along :/ ;)
-
I've about half a dozen "grail" framesets that would do it for me but perhaps more importantly, I would want to find them in a survivor state, which is becoming less likely by the year!
-
Nothing.
Got all I wanted, after this last one then I'm done.
-
.... Hard times to fall apon the world's 30 biggest collectors/hoarders all at the same time ...forcing them to release all their amazing nos/rare parts and builds back into circulation at rock bottom prices! :D :LolLolLolLol: ;) :P

Blimey I signed up to the wrong forum. I have only recently rediscovered BMX. I revisisted BMX by accident and by looking back at past stuff (photos, friends); I am not in retirement, I have only just begun.
The question suggests that the subject in it's final days, according to the og poster.
The question is steeped in nostagia and doom. Nostagia promised by the belief that you may come out of your 'retirement' as it assumes that many of you are 'retired'. Secondly, doom that seems to cloud the question altogether; but I am evidence that at least some people are new to the scene and counter both points. Yes, people will fall away, every forum has that, blimey I used to play a mmporg for many years and it was the same in spades.
May be many of the posters on this site are 'retired' but some are not. It is difficult for those not only new to the site, but also new to the scene as a whole, to find a toe in. I continue to post and will do for a while but posts like this are far too negative. Welcome new posts, new stories, welcome old stories rehashed, whatever but welcome them all. If you are retired then at least be positive to those new to the site.
Three projects on the go and hoping to share

Don't fall for the hype, historically people 'retire' this time of the year and then once MK gets announced it's all hands to the pump :LolLolLolLol:

84 Performer
85 Master
88 Dyno Compe
Another DeCoster as I regret selling mine
Another Rickman.
Doubt I will ever do any now though as I'm too tight to pay the prices people are asking ;D
