Title: 1979 S&S Newport 26" beast
Post by: mpbmx1966 on May 25, 2017, 11:15 PM
I got this bike in 1982 as I wanted something bigger, it was this or a 24" but there was no contest.  Rode at Pinner and old Hayes track.  It was a bit too big for most of Harrow skatepark but just right for Rom, I used to boost this thing so high and, quite frankly, I don't know how!
This is post powder coat with nearly everything.

All the parts are either off of the old bike or the same but NOS apart from the bars and the clunky steel stem that got ditched straight away.

I thought I would upscale to 3 piece cranks

But today I went back to OE (apart from the saddle as i might actually ride the thing!)

Even better, I might be about score a sticker set :D

Now, where are other 26"'s?

Liking that, with Coupes on the saddle too.  Any pics of it built from bitd?

Looks like you rode the same places as Coupes and I did bitd.
