Hi Can anyone recommend a bottom bracket kit for a Mongoose Californian?
Many thanks

So you have square taper arms yes? and you want to fit them to an American BB? do you have any BB at all? the spline?
Recently I did not want to pay "Old Skool BMX innit" prices for a nice 3pc so I bought this.

For my 24" cruiser. You can get square taper Euro BB easy. Mine was also Euro. So I used this..

Here you go Lee, a tenner plus three quid post for this open race one - keep it greased and adjusted it will be perfect for what you need.

About £50 job done with my crank arms and chainring :coolsmiley:

The fact it's a Mongoose doesn't matter when buying parts. It isn't a different size to any other run of the mill 80s BMX with regard to parts and sizes. Just because the Mongoose OPC was 28tpi rather than 24tpi like most others it has no relevance to the size of bits that fit that bike.

Thanks All, I understand now!
