Hello again mid kid's.
Managed to build a mid bike you can lift easy .
Been after a GT show for a while, really liked the look of em & love the welds on the Ali. Replied to a post on ere & turned out to be a fella in Switzerland that wanted to flog his old Show, he'd had it years & his mate was the og owner.
He sent some piccys & apart from cranks, brakes tyres & grips looked stock & in good nick. A deal was done & job was a good un

While it was on the way I managed to find some decent 165mm cranks with all their bits n bobs & some 990's to fit aswell. Soon wish I hadn't as an administrative balls up by the seller landed me with a fookin enormous customs charge that pissed me right off .
After an argument with customs & basically being told to fook off I paid up & collected the thing & set about stripping it down & cleaning with a survivor build as the plan....

The fact it was an early 97 stamped one slightly made up for the bastard customs..
After a good few hours polishing I was pleased with the results but not the sore fingers.....

Searched the globe for a 34t fly cutter sprocket & gave up, bought a dmr off eBay for 8 quid & machined the face, it'll do till I find the right thing at the right price. Won some new style dx's cheap too, thought I'd bung em on but can't say I'm mad keen, something else will pop up sometime..
Had a roll about on it today, fookers right short but feels nice..
