Title: 83 PK Ripper
Post by: radovr on January 18, 2018, 10:55 AM
OK , thought i'd start a build thread in here  , bit of a story behind this one as bitd i had an Ammaco Koolstyler and a PK .  Where i grew up in a small town in devon there  were 2 pk's  this one  ( not this actual one )  belonged to a mate he had it a while then gave it to his cousin then 2 years later it was mine , after working 2 summer jobs at Pontins  saving all my hard earnt  it was mine !  That was around 15 years of age , fast forward a couple of years i lent it to a mate , apparently it got stolen never to be seen again .....

So , iv'e always wanted my final build to be a pk to replicate my PK , i was aiming for mid year to start looking , but , throught the xmas break this one popped up on an OZ  forum and 20 mins drive for me  , done deal  .
It may not have the correct era fork on but hey i'm not overly bothered atm .........  some pics  ......

So it stayed there for a couple of weeks .........

I gave the frame a light going over with some mothers  , great stuff  ,  i have my parts list , may deviate a bit but will build it as how mine was bitd

Will try and keep the build going on here , can only upload 4 pics at a time though , so there will be plenty of pics albeit  4 at a time  "help"

Interesting choice of stem, were these still made by tuf neck do you know as it looks the same as their ACE model but with the GT cap stamping.

Are you going caliper or drum brake on this ?
