so after nearly 3 years, i'm finally getting around to fixing and building this frame. some of you may remember this on ebay but no one seemed interested. ::) (i wonder why) i took a chance on it and got it for £100 if i remember. i've been working on the frame for about the last month and this is where i'm at.
the frame before.

and how it's looking now.

anyone know the length of the pegs on trickstar forks, the longer version.?
-
F*** me
That's a bit of an improvement! :daumenhoch:
-
Great work! ..that's impressive!
Do you know about the history of that frame - why it had so many spots rewelded?
-
dont know why it had so many welds on it, it had been rechromed after some of the work as well. it had 990 mounts on it, one was welded on and the other brazed on. the dropouts are perfect though.

Nice work :daumenhoch:

I am quite envious of a build that needs so much work and time.
Keep it coming.

perfect, thats exactly what i was looking for. i'm gonna weld some pegs onto a set of crappy forks for this.

i have pretty much everything to build it, just need to weld some pegs onto some forks and then paint everything. it's going to be lavender with some white and chrome bits.
-
made a bit of progress with this. welded some pegs onto some forks, (badly) and got the frame forks and bars painted. also made a tioga decal for the bars.
-
Love this and loving the colour! Can't wait to see this built up. Good work :daumenhoch:
-
Impressive work. :)

I remember this one on eBay. Was on a couple of times and went for next to nothing. Can only assume some mid schooler welded and beefed it up bitd, we used to do the same with old Redlines, GT’s and Mongoose’s for dirt jumping down Knavesmire woods or great ayton quarry.
Great rescue by the way, looking good!

Ditto! :daumenhoch:

getting there, just need to refurb some brakes and pedals and fit the grips and it should be done. made a pro neck decal for the chainring too.
-
Impressing work! :4_17_5: I love lavender trickstars and the longer fork pegs. :daumenhoch:
-
finally got it finished and got some pics in the sun.
-
Very nice
-
:daumenhoch: only thing I don't like is the chainring and I've never thought those hot seats look right? look far to small but these are just my opinions overall a cracking build and story :daumenhoch:
-
cheers chaps, i know what you mean about the chainring. i'm not too keen on it myself but it's what i had lying around. :daumenhoch:
