As my mini-mid-life crisis continues decided to build myself the bike Santa could never afford to get me :(. Pic of my recently finished project on a 83' Mongoose Californian. It aint perfect but I love it, spent hours rubbing the frame down with tinfoil to remove rust and dirt and then polishing the chrome. Went out on it with the kids the other day and couldn't stop smiling, wife things I've lost it!!! ;D ;D ;D

Lovely bike mate.good job. :daumenhoch:

Nice work mate. :daumenhoch:
Leave the tinfoil alone though next time. :idiot2:

Lovely build, well done. Always liked these too as a kid.
Maybe a link or two out of the chain.

Nice job mate, looks great in the sun.
I agree about that chain mate especially if it’s going to me a regular rider.

Thanks gents, chain is now all sorted. I had lined up the back wheel and altered the chain before fitting the brake calliper, only to realise the pads didn't hit the rim had to move the wheel forward, hence the slack! school boy error on a first time build!!!. Just been out on it down to the cashpoint, feels great.
