Guys any suggestions. I have tried hammering out with a hammer and flathead screwdriver but they won't budge. Also put wd40 all around them. Still no movement. They have probably been in there from 1982.

Throw the WD40 in the bin, it has no place in this business!
You need to shock them out. Instead of using a flat head screwdriver you need something like an old seat post and twat it with a metal hammer, work the point of impact around the cup. Trust me it will work but watch the cup because when it comes out it'l kill the cat if it hits it!

I've lost so many cats that way

And twat it in a circular motion...
Had loads stuck in the past like this..Also like Nick stated something large , a bit sturdy too twat it out.. "bump"

I always thought it was curiosity that killed the cat, you learn something new every day :daumenhoch:
