Title: Johar Poster Ripper
Post by: Cherrypicker on December 13, 2018, 11:33 AM
Wasn’t going to build any more bikes, but the madness persists. Taken me a long time to decide what to do with this, so knowing my passion for rider reps...... can you see what I see?? Some difficult (maybe impossible) parts to collect so your beards’ll be down to your balls when this is finished.
I’ve got another on the bench too - that one’s gonna shag my savings. Keeping it alive  :slayer:

Nope....can't work it out! Looking forward to another one of your reps though!  :daumenhoch:

For some strange reason it was the pre bent lever that gave it away look forward to seeing it done id imagine the tyres might be the hardest part to get

.....the pinchless og Redline cranks will be painful. I’ll use generic parts and swap them out as the real ones become available. It’ll be a long game, this one.

Yes, happy with those, they were rough as a badgers arsehole in yellow. If I could’ve found some black the same, I’d have saved these as survivors. The burner boys are hogging all the yellow tuffs

Gen 1 pinchless Redline Flights have landed. All og hardware apart from cups. The arms fit tight to the double dimple, just need to dig out some classy nos foot furniture to check the pedal bosses.

I’m going to have to go with close copies and wait until/if the real deal shows. I’m not hopeful - I only know one person who has them. Big Mac, and he ain’t selling. He’s given a lot of helpful advice with researching the build.

Just hit a bump in the road with a silly schoolboy error. The seat clamp I have is 28mm, so way too big. Got the network buzzing and hopefully the correct size will show up, but not in time for Worcester ride  :pilky:

I've had plenty of full wrap 401's which are nice but these are the next level.

Looking very good indeed

I’m pretty much there for now. Couple of decals to go on seat and seat post. It should be a fair representation of the Johar Poster Mike Buff Ripper. The tyres are copies and I’ve yet to find a Aero Stadium plate and trust me, I’ve looked  :-\

I’ve only managed to find an Aero Stadium plate. Found a guy in Cali who has two and managed to persuade him to part with one. It’s on its way, so this will look the absolute mutts nuts as and when  :daumenhoch:

Sorry to drag this old dog back, but the postman’s been and it’s another step closer to completion. Be talking to Del again soon.
