Hi guys, these are stickered as Araya Aero but they are unstamped! Seller is saying he's not sure. I think not. Are all Araya's stamped because I think they are. If so what do you think they are. Bought as nos about ten years ago laced to Shimano hubs. Cheers guys.

I'm pretty sure all Arayas are stamped, but these could be modern ones, not NOS at the time. Also, they look like 1.5" Not 1.75" but I could be wrong...... :-\
-
Decal in the wrong place too.
Should be near the valve hole next to the araya stamped .
And yes much narrower too

I'm going with not.

My reasoning was that the profile seems to have a pronounced shoulder on it, not a smooth curve.
Could be the lighting i suppose.

The near side one does look like it has an edge i agree. Pretty sure they were selling these at MK9/10 (before my time) in black and red. They had a faded/tie dye type effect on them...some more prominent than others. :daumenhoch:
The colour on them black ones looks pretty consistent... how much is he asking for em ?
-
Odyssey T1000 rims maybe

Input much appreciated guys. Genuine or not they look good. £150 Ono. Built on Shimano low flange hubs and re issue comp III tyres. Still deciding :chin:

Apart from them not being Araya Aeros, the main concern I would have is if they are Odyssey T1000 rims rather than I recall comments stating the T1000 were not as strong as the Araya Aero and prone to damage.
If you specifically want Araya Aero then hold out, they aren’t tricky to find.
-
Definitely not T1000's them Alan. :)
-
True, T1000 had a higher profile..
Wasn’t there also Araya Aero and Aray Aero-Turbo rims? I think the Turbo version had a different profile and also a straight hole for the nipple (no raise area)

The nipple free Aero Turbo's look a good match but pretty sure they were single wall though. Sold mine about 5 yrs ago... so could be talking out my arse. :LolLolLolLol:
