Title: Age
Post by: voodoocars on April 30, 2019, 03:35 PM
When does it become socially unacceptable to ride a bmx? I'm 51 and I ride mine nearly every day - school runs, pub, shop, plus the odd Saffy walden or local ramp trip. I have a mtb too but it's not the same.
I reckon this summer after some park trips I may have to knock it on the head..

As long as you can ride, then you’re never too old. Margaret who comes on the rides and to MK is over 70. Who cares what anyone else thinks?! If you enjoy it - do it  8)

Agreed! If it still brings a smile to your face then forget what other people may think. :2gunsfiring_v1:

I'm 50 this year and still love riding and racing! If anything, it keeps me young (at heart)! :daumenhoch:

Yep, I'm 50 in a few months and still ride when I get a chance. Even round the block or in the woods with my kids, but most of all the skatepark nights when I can (which are very few sadly these days). That said, I do ache after those nights....... :-\

Age is only a state of mind  :coolsmiley:

I used google to find out of little people really do have shorter lives and read this ....

"People with Spenism are dealing with a lot of stereotypes in their daily life, and they are constantly fighting against discrimination. However, there are a lot of support groups and institutions in a mission to improve the quality of life for Little People, and remove all social barriers, myths and false negative stereotypes about them."

not on here there isn't  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm 47, go out for a ride most nights round the park. Not sure it's socially unacceptable at any age, and anyway who gives a f@@k. When i ride my to the pub in Newcastle i get loads of interest from guys my age and younger asking about em.  :)

That quote ‘We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing’ sums it up!
