Hi guys,
I thought I'd pop back and ask the good members of RadBMX for a bit of advice following my reluctant decision to sell off the majority of my albeit small collection.
I notice from the site's terms and conditions that I should list prices for the bits I want to sell but I genuinely don't have much of a clue how much things are worth these days.
So is it within the rules to ask for ballpark figures on old school bits and pieces?
I could really do with some help.
Kindest regards, Brownie :)

For example, I have a Haro Gen 1 freestyler that I need to sell along with all the parts I'd collected to build it. These include the correct blue Dia Compe calipers, a Kashimax saddle, Redline flight cranks, Skyway Tuffs (alloy hubs not graphite) and those ridiculous Haro levers that were fitted halfway up the bars! How did anyone use them btw? The frame is bare, but I have the decals which I'll include. Anyway, all advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Brownie.

:welcome back best way to get the juices flowing is with some pics. Even better get the thing built and get down to MK. :daumenhoch:

Right guys,
I hope this works. I've taken a few pics after digging out my old Haro which has been in bubble wrap for the best part of 10 years in the loft. Not found the decals yet but I've a fair amount of rummaging to do. Thanks in advance for any help.
Kindest regards, Brownie

Think I've finally cracked this picture lark. :4_17_5:

Found the Haro listings thread by Greentoad and discovered that this f+f is as follows:
TPP 1829 F 1829 Freestyler July 1983
Nice to know, eh? Top work Greentoad :4_17_5:

Unwrapped a few parts too.

Unwrapped the cranks and shown the pedals more clearly :)

Here's the other bike I was building in 2007/2008. My brother-in-laws Ripper that was left in his mum's back garden for years before i rescued it. Obviously, it's been powdercoated. Still searching through the loft. Rough ballpark on prices would be great, chaps. Thanks again. I notice this :feebay: emoji so I've been having a look though it's difficult to get a handle on prices given that some of the stuff here is not being sold. Cheers, Brownie.

Right then, last batch - I've found my bars. And you can see that I did start this build, putting on the levers and grips! Only items not pictured now are two sets of alloy hubbed Skyways with, from memory, tanwall Comp 3 tyres. Let me know what ya'll reckon. Thanks again.

Hi there,
BMX was my first mid-life crisis. I progressed to motocross for my second and now, I'm on my third - crit and road racing. And, incredibly, it's the most expensive of the lot so I can't really justify having stuff like this in the loft when I'm raiding all my bank accounts to fund new racing bikes.
It's a shame because it's been a fun day digging out all the stuff. I never had enough money for a Haro or a Ripper as a kid. Best bike I had was a DP Freestyler with low-rent mag wheels, shopper tyres and CW copy bars! God, I loved that bike.
Anyways, I'm going to get some prices together and see how these bits fly.
Cheers, Brownie

Wow and to think DPs are changing hands for silly money now, funny thing nostalgia. I hope you manage to find a good home for your stash but I still think it would be a shame not to build them up before letting them go.

:smitten: cant stop coming back to ogle, would love to see them built.

If you search completed listings on ebay you should get an idea of current value, asking prices are a different story :teef:
You have some nice stuff there though so it's worth doing a bit of research yourself - I expect you've had a few vultures circling already :teef:

Many thanks for the advice. I've been doing just that as well as looking for similar items in the For Sale section here. The Haro f and F is the curious one to be honest. I guess it's just how much someone wants it. Cheers, Brownie fistblump

The Haro frame and forks are now on the Bay chaps. Cheers, JB
