Guys ,I have acquired a set of acs mag wheels for my daughters rainbow performer (99) bitsa , rear dropout is 10mm and spindle on wheel is 14mm , my question is , can I swap spindle for 10mm ,is it straight forward ,and can u buy spindle and bearings in a kit
Front forks are from another gt and are 14mm , thanks in advance Chris fattaff
Cant wait till MK , getting excited now
-
Or can I swap out a spindle from another (spare) wheel , are the bearings universal or are they unique to acs ??
-
Anybody ?
Don't want to resort to modifying the rear dropout ?
Acs wheel looks spanking in front
-
HI if they're old school ACS mags then there's a good chance the 14mm axle you see is only axle converters screwed on the end of a 10mm axle - got any pics you can post up?

I have taken apart the donor axle and removed loose balls and dust seals from acs , bearing cups look identical
I have ordered new bearings in race and will see if they all fit together

With 10mm spindle

It appears everything fits together lovely with donor axle and new bearings in race , dollop of grease etc ,and I reused dust seals altho looking at acs website I m sure u can buy new , happy days , it now fits rear dropout 👊
